  1. @0331fnp From what I have been told if you are in the repeat class at WCU you have 2 chances to pass the predictor again. If you do not pass you receive an incomplete in the class and have to choose from one of the school selected board review classes. Once you submit that you completed the board review you pass the class and get your diploma.
  2. @frustrated94 I also go to WCU and I am in the same boat. Just took my 2nd APEA predictor today and got a 66% after studying my heart out for weeks! We still get to walk at graduation though. So at least we don't have to wait for that.
  3. I will be moving from California, but I have yet to decide if I will be moving back home after school. From what I have heard if you want to transfer to another school after you should call that school and see if they will accept the credits. For transferring the license you should call the the RN board for your state since every state is different.
  4. Hi Zoe! I will be starting in July as well. I am moving from California in June and found an apartment in Aurora. Not sure how close that is to Engelwood, but after I saw the parking at DSN I have decided the light rail is the way to go. I agree with you, DSN is very close with their student and the Global health program is awesome! I am hoping that I will be able to attend one of the trips. I look forward to meeting you! í ½í¸Š
  5. Where did you end up parking? Okay perfect! Thank you for letting me know about the accreditation :) what was the interview like if you don't mind me asking?
  6. Good luck tomorrow on your interview!! Let us know how it goes. I have heard that parking is terrible and you have to pay crazy prices for parking. I am not sure what I am going to do for that yet. Do any of you know if DSN is nationally accredited? I see on their website that they are ACEN accredited but I am getting confused.
  7. Awesome! Thank you!! Is your interview March 4th? Do you have to take the HESI too or do you already have a bachelors? I was looking at places in aurora and I found some place for about 1200 a month. Places in Denver seemed very expensive for not that nice of a place.
  8. I agree, I would feel terrible if I had to keep calling out and stressing about making both schedules work. I am in the same boat as you, although you live much further from Colorado than I do. I have been searching on every website possible to find a decent place to rent but I keep getting scam offers. I will keep you updated after my interview and let you know how it went.
  9. I am going to need to get a loan for sure. I do not qualify for financial aid right now so I have a feeling I probably won't for Denver either. That is a good idea for housing to take out a personal loan, I will have to look into it. I would ideally like to work during the program to have a cash flow and I have heard that waitressing during nursing school is the best since the hours are flexible. I have been looking on areas right outside of Denver as well, I do not want to drive more than 30 min. or so to commute though. My fiancé and I are planning on moving and he will come out with me when I do my interview so we can check out what we are looking at for rent. Rooming with nursing students would be helpful though so we would have a study partner!
  10. Same here! I have the paper format for the teas and I am taking it this week. I think the HESI is online though. Yeah you don't have to take it since you have a bachelors! Sounds like you have a great chance of getting in!! I would love to attend Denver if I get accepted. I am just trying to figure out how I am gonna pay for it and find a place to live. Do you plan to work and do the program?
  11. I do have to take the HESI since I only have an associates degree. I have the practice book that I have been studying and I also have to take the TEAS for California. From what I have heard the HESI is easier than the TEAS and it is just basic math grammar and English. I also heard if you get an interview at DSON your pretty much in as long as you can afford it and pass the test.
  12. Hi! Yes I have my interview on March 15th. I live in California so I would be moving as well... But not as far as you! Would you be moving by yourself?
  13. Hi! I also applied for July 2016 start date. The only thing I have been contacted for was to verify something on my transcript. Feb. 12th will be exactly 6 weeks since the application deadline. I hope we hear something soon!
