  1. I work in the University Setting. We have team anesthesia with a CRNA or Resident along with an attending and often times a Anes. Tech. However, I always make my presence known. If the head of the bed is full I will work on charting or help my scrub. When I went through my perioperative residency it was stressed to ALWAYS be at the head of the bed. I have been a OR nurse for 12 years and worked in a variety of settings. Sometimes, when I worked at stand alone settings I was the only person helping anesthesia. I have had malignant hyperthermia happen, allergy reactions closing the airways, difficult intubation. As nurses we NEED to work as a team with Anesthesia! We are the patient advocate!
  2. Just curious because I graduate with my BSN in Dec. are you able to start your paperwork before you graduate? I alreay have my ADN and have been a OR nurse for 12 years.
  3. Sorry! I guess I should have said reserves! I apologize! Army Reserves still take ADN nurses. I will also have my BSN before the boards along with my CNOR. If you go to the army nurse corps website it shows you just need your ADN of Army Reserves Nursing.
  4. Can you give me any insight to the OR position in the Reserves? I am looking to join with 12 years OR experience. I just wonder what exactly I would be doing.
  5. I am curious what a RN with 12 years experience would go in as. I have 12 years OR experience. Would I go in as a Captain? I read that to be a Major you had to have your BSN. I am currently doing my RN-BSN and sounds like by the time I board I would have that completed. I know the Army would take me but could the AF give a waiver since I am almost done with my BSN?
  6. I would like to talk to you about how you were able to find someone so inexpensive. I am worried about the financial aspects of the evaluation currently
  7. Can I speak to you about the CDE? I have some questions and think you might be able to help me answer them
  8. Hi Wb003 I would like to talk to you about your post but privately. Did you do your evaluation in Texas?
