  3. I think I am going to apply too, hopefully:) did you guys write a separate paper on leadership experience? i cant quite recall if that was required for ELMSN or ABSN...
  4. thank you guys, well, today it is official i got a C, so upsetting. any other thoughts or personal experiences?
  5. Congrats Liza! good luck in your studies, Hopefully soon we'll get in programs too:)
  6. does it matter if you have a BS or Associate degree in Nursing when looking for a new grad job, or they dont care about that?
  7. Oh I wish and I hope!!! my other grades: Micro A Chem A Anat B Patho A Pharmo A Nutr A
  8. Thank you, yes, I already took NET and my composite score is 88, I already met with the counselor, and she told me something like that they'd look at the overal science gpa and etc., i cant quite recall... But the thought of that I could have a C on my transcripts scares me (our instructor still hasnt posted the final grades) any other thoughts? thanks again
  9. I was wondering if you guys know if thats possible to get into the accelerated program if you have a C grade on Physiology? I havent gotten the final grades for this semester, and I am nervious... Anyone from the San Francisco Bay area/Sacramento, or CA in general got in with a C? Please, share, I am sooooooooooooo nervious..... thank you!!!
  10. congrats!!! i am in CA too and i am in the process of completing my prereqs, if you dont mind me asking, i was wondering why you had to wait for 3 years, what was your science gpa and overall gpa?
  11. Thanks guys for sharing your thoughts:)
  12. Thank you Karen, I got an email from the counselor, and she said that Ws dont affect your GPA and she said not to worry, but you know I wonder if they'd prefer students with no Ws than someone who has Ws, if you know what I mean. Are there any current nursing students who got accepted into nursing programs with any Ws, especially in CA area, thank you!
  13. Hi guys, i have few questions, please help as much as you can, I really appreciate it: 1. What was your GPA from your Bachelor degree and prereqs? 2. About essays (personal statements), do they need to be very extended and professional? 3. Did you have any prereqs in progress when your applied? 4. What questions did they ask during the interview? 5. Was it hard to get financial aid? did you get any finaid from any hospitals or any other places that you dont have to pay back? Does location/campus of the either program play any role? thanks in advance!

  17. Hi guys, please share your experience or advise please... Does it look bad if you have "W"s in your transcripts? Let's say if you have three "W"s, one on Algebra (and then you got an "A" following semester), and two on Statistics (and then you got a good grade following semester on it)? Even though Ws dont affect GPA, would they matter while being selected for the either ABSN or ELMSN programs (considering good GPA and high score on the NET)? i am kind of worried about my transcripts, thanks;)
  18. Daytonite, thank you so much, i will check those websites!
  19. Hey guys, do you guys know any good websites on how to study Physiology? thanks!
  20. Hi guys, I am hoping to apply to the program soon, and I need some advise, please. Do you guys know any good websites or books on how to write a good personal statement on "Why do you want to be a nurse", and etc.? thanks in advance,
  21. *Blessed2BaNRS*, i just got my results for the NET, math 97% reading 79% and the composite is 88%, what do you think, is it good (I hope) thank you very much for your help and for the links!
  22. I am thinking about that school, I was wondering if you could share about your experience at the interview, like what type of questions they've asked you and etc? thanks in advance, and I hope you'll hear from them very soon!
  23. *Blessed2BaNRS*, thank you so much for the detailed response, i think for the school i am hoping to get, they do paper based NET and i kind of like that idea:)
  24. You know how when you call them first they ask you which state you are calling from and then transfer you, maybe it varies from state to state... i dont know, but thats what i've been told. If there are additions and subtractions, thats even better
  25. I just called them, and they told me that only reading and basic math would be counted towards the final score, and also they guy told me that they've taken off addition and subtraction from the test. and also there will be about 15 basic science questions and the school would look at them (in case if you're accepted), even though they dont count towards the final score.
