  1. Hi all, I have looked at the NurseThink website, and think the note system might be a worthwhile purchase. Not that I couldn't draw my own template, but I like that they're done for you. Has anyone used these, and if so, did they help? Thanks! Aaron
  2. Just got my letter. I'll see you evening folks in the spring!
  3. Congrats for the acceptance. I hope you are able to figure out a way to make it work.
  4. The way I understand it is the mail doesn't go from Decatur directly to say, Madison. It has to go to a sorting facility, and unless something had changed, the closest one is Birmingham. Makes a lot of sense, huh? Now you know why the postal service is going broke...
  5. At PF Chang, my fortune says "A happy suprise will arrive in the mail" Yassss!
  6. " I love my job, I love my job, I love my job"
  7. Colostomess Need i really explain this? When the patient attempts to adjust their colostomy bag.
  8. I got a lunch break today!
  9. I hope i dont find that the bathroom should have been built a few feet closer...
  10. In Huntsville, I'm assuming. I'll get a better idea of price from her once I gauge interest. I'll keep you up to date.
  11. Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know that one of our secretaries at the police department is certified to teach the AHA for healthcare providers CPR certification. She needs at least 5 or so people, and said she would give us a really good price. Let me know if any of y'all are interested, and I'll work on organizing it. It's an 8-hour class
  12. Hey all, She did say we would still find out the first week of May. I too was initially bummed, but I'm going to take classes that are necessary for my bachelor's to make the most out of the situation. The full-time part is what really sucks, but I think that was more the state than calhoun...
  13. And the wait begins...got my application in today. Now to try and not think about it...
  14. Here is her reply "For the mini-term course write your grade in the appropriate box and note, either beside or below the course, that it was taken in the 1st mini-term and we will have admissions verify your grade."
  15. I went to the admissions office, and they said we will have to put it on our application, and they will contact the office for our grade. I sent an email to the nursing secretary to find out where on the application she wants it. I will report back when I hear from her.
  16. Hey, for anyone who is coming to the info session today, I'll be in a white Star Wars t-shirt. Come say hi, my name is David. See y'all there!
  17. Awesome job! Wish there was a way to recognize everyone at the info session. I'll be at the one on the 23rd as well.
  18. Going well...in the midst of this 8 week micro class. Not nearly as bad as I though it'd be. Haven't started my app yet. I'll be at the info session on the 23rd...
  19. I'm going to one of the info-sessions around mid-feb; I'm hoping to find that out then.
  20. So am I...I think they take around 36 for the part-time program.
  21. That sounds kind of strange. I was under the impression that you could take it anywhere, but that if you took it somewhere else, you had to pay a fee to transfer it to your school. I would double-check that. If you're cut out for nursing school, you won't need to take it more than once. Obviously I don't know you or your study habits, but I'm going to assume you're a smartie:) I studied roughly a month for the teas, and that includes the craziness of all the holidays. I took the first practice exam online, and scored in the 60's. It gives you a printout of what you need to focus on. I then read all of the science and math sections, paying special attention to those areas I needed extra focus. I did not study at all for the other sections, since they don't count, but you have to do them on the practice exams, so that helps. I then took the other online practice to see where I stood. I reread science and math, and practiced my weak spots. I took one more practice exams the day before the test (you can take each online one twice). Now granted, this is what worked for me, but it was a pretty solid strategy. Tweak it however you feel. Don't know how old you are, but if you're younger mist of this material should be fresh. I hadn't taken math for years, lol. Have confidence, study hard, and you will rock it :)
  22. Yeah, I'm taking the Micro minimester with Ansardi, and Speech. Took the minimester so I can get the points on my application. I just finished Human Growth and Development, and it wasn't bad at all.
  23. Thanks, it went better than even expected. Now I just have to get micro out of the way, and will be good to go. When you taking the teas?
