  5. Thank you! To answer your question...I constantly referred back to my desire to overcome this challenge and not let them win. I used my anger/resentment/ advancements in education as energizing forces to help push through the abuse and chaos. There were many times that I wanted to quit and/or change professions. I still believe change is required and I am not done fighting just yet. You've got this.
  6. Hey Rox~! I am no longer in the program after spending a lovely 30k over the required 5 years; I graduated from marp (ramp) in the Summer of 2020. I have completed my DNP (2021) and I am working as both an RN and NP (for variety). I have recently started working on organizing my thoughts with the hope of creating an expose on these programs (after months of blocking it all out). I still have the occasional nightmare and I am hesitant to participate in therapy due to my fear of having something discussed and/or taken out of context. I am aware of our friend HIPAA & confidentiality agreements; however, after being in the program and working in the field (oncology and psychiatry), it is clear that many loopholes exit. Please, don't hesitate to reach out to me to vent or with questions. =T Nurses can change the world--we just need to come together as a unified force nationwide and stop throwing each other under the bus. ❤️
  7. you will get through this! It is so discouraging when things like this happen, but know that you will come out of this on the other side. These programs are terrible, punitive, and corrupt--fly under the radar while still being aware of everything and anything that could impact your length of stay in the evil program. Sending positive energy your way. I recently finished (July 2020) the 5 year program in NJ (fssolutions--horrible entity). You got this. ❤️

For those of you who deal with the annual/bi-annual burden of the evil JCAHO, how do you go about doing Treatment Plans with your treatment team (psychiatrist, social worker, nurse, recreational therapist, etc.) on your inpatient unit so they meet the JCAHO requirements? I currently work on an inpatient psychiatric unit (located within a hospital) and the treatment team process/updating treatment plans has been a big and time consuming issue. While we have transitioned to EPIC (approx. 1.5 years ago) we still do the treatment plans on paper, as the "system" is moving at a glacial pace in incorporating care plans into the EPIC CIS software. I have reviewed the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services guidelines on treatment plans and they are rather vague and did not provide any answers on how to better organize this process so it is more streamlined. Any input on how your facility updates and completes (handwritten/paper) treatment plans would be helpful! Thank you in advance =T
  9. NJ here--$325 for hair test -_- ...they didn't decrease testing during the COVID surge--in fact, they increased it to 3 tests per month ranging between 75-125 dollars per test =( Can't wait to be finished in July!
  10. @rn1965 beats me?! They won't give us an answer and they claim they "aren't testing us more"....but I have NEVER gotten 3 tests, 3 months in a row. Can't wait to write an expose (under an alias of course)

  12. CONGRATS! I wish you all the best! I am due to finish my 5 year contract in NJ in July--let's hope I can get through the chaos of testing 3+ times per month (more than our typical 2) and my final nail test ? Growing out the toenails =/ ick
  13. Nurses are being fired and reported to the board, administration is feeding lies to its staff. The administrator that oversees my manager had the audacity to lie to my face, stating that the virus isn't transmittable unless you have symptoms...I bet she could see the disgust in my face. Either she has the IQ of a pebble or is being told to relay this *** (likely both).
  14. I am in the NJ program (RAMP), and they are testing us more (3+ times per month) during the pandemic--testings sites are being shut down and/or consolidated, limiting access. We are putting others at risk (as I work in a covid-ridden hospital) and ourselves by going to these highly frequented locations. I bet these programs are already preparing their sticky fingers for the fallout from pandemic in hope of absorbing nurses subjected to secondary trauma/PTSD. I am utterly disgusted, but sadly, not surprised. Stay safe everyone <3
  15. @FixIt44it would...I guess it is all about the lexicon and context used when signing on with the company. Kickback, incentive, sign-on bonus--all terminology that could determine the legality vs illegality of the "arrangement" ?. As we all know and have experienced, there is much corruption strewn into these programs, and it is unfortunate that we are pulled into it with no power to push back. Learned helplessness and letting go...
