  1. I have received indirect communication from prior lab techs who have been in contact with my clients (working as an NP). nice things only. ❤️ and much appreciated ~*
  2. ❤️ please, feel free to contact me [email protected]
  3. Hi @Nurse1980 NurseCE4Less.com should provide additional options to obtain relevant CEU's--unfortunately, it does come at a small cost and you can find coupon codes to lessen the cost of the subscription. You 100% can start school as long as you are not in clinical rotations. I am fearful of disclosing too much information due to Big brother, ha...but feel free to email me @ [email protected]
  4. you're in the toughest part of the process--but you will make it through. Feel free to email [email protected]
  5. Thank you! To answer your question...I constantly referred back to my desire to overcome this challenge and not let them win. I used my anger/resentment/ advancements in education as energizing forces to help push through the abuse and chaos. There were many times that I wanted to quit and/or change professions. I still believe change is required and I am not done fighting just yet. You've got this.
  6. Hey Rox~! I am no longer in the program after spending a lovely 30k over the required 5 years; I graduated from marp (ramp) in the Summer of 2020. I have completed my DNP (2021) and I am working as both an RN and NP (for variety). I have recently started working on organizing my thoughts with the hope of creating an expose on these programs (after months of blocking it all out). I still have the occasional nightmare and I am hesitant to participate in therapy due to my fear of having something discussed and/or taken out of context. I am aware of our friend HIPAA & confidentiality agreements; however, after being in the program and working in the field (oncology and psychiatry), it is clear that many loopholes exit. Please, don't hesitate to reach out to me to vent or with questions. =T Nurses can change the world--we just need to come together as a unified force nationwide and stop throwing each other under the bus. ❤️
  7. you will get through this! It is so discouraging when things like this happen, but know that you will come out of this on the other side. These programs are terrible, punitive, and corrupt--fly under the radar while still being aware of everything and anything that could impact your length of stay in the evil program. Sending positive energy your way. I recently finished (July 2020) the 5 year program in NJ (fssolutions--horrible entity). You got this. ❤️
  8. For those of you who deal with the annual/bi-annual burden of the evil JCAHO, how do you go about doing Treatment Plans with your treatment team (psychiatrist, social worker, nurse, recreational therapist, etc.) on your inpatient unit so they meet the JCAHO requirements? I currently work on an inpatient psychiatric unit (located within a hospital) and the treatment team process/updating treatment plans has been a big and time consuming issue. While we have transitioned to EPIC (approx. 1.5 years ago) we still do the treatment plans on paper, as the "system" is moving at a glacial pace in incorporating care plans into the EPIC CIS software. I have reviewed the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services guidelines on treatment plans and they are rather vague and did not provide any answers on how to better organize this process so it is more streamlined. Any input on how your facility updates and completes (handwritten/paper) treatment plans would be helpful! Thank you in advance =T
  9. NJ here--$325 for hair test -_- ...they didn't decrease testing during the COVID surge--in fact, they increased it to 3 tests per month ranging between 75-125 dollars per test =( Can't wait to be finished in July!
  10. @rn1965 beats me?! They won't give us an answer and they claim they "aren't testing us more"....but I have NEVER gotten 3 tests, 3 months in a row. Can't wait to write an expose (under an alias of course)
  11. @SpankedInPittsburgh thank you! I find that it might be more difficult in the last 3 months due to fear of doing something wrong! Can't wait to be finished ?
  12. CONGRATS! I wish you all the best! I am due to finish my 5 year contract in NJ in July--let's hope I can get through the chaos of testing 3+ times per month (more than our typical 2) and my final nail test ? Growing out the toenails =/ ick
  13. Nurses are being fired and reported to the board, administration is feeding lies to its staff. The administrator that oversees my manager had the audacity to lie to my face, stating that the virus isn't transmittable unless you have symptoms...I bet she could see the disgust in my face. Either she has the IQ of a pebble or is being told to relay this *** (likely both).
  14. I am in the NJ program (RAMP), and they are testing us more (3+ times per month) during the pandemic--testings sites are being shut down and/or consolidated, limiting access. We are putting others at risk (as I work in a covid-ridden hospital) and ourselves by going to these highly frequented locations. I bet these programs are already preparing their sticky fingers for the fallout from pandemic in hope of absorbing nurses subjected to secondary trauma/PTSD. I am utterly disgusted, but sadly, not surprised. Stay safe everyone <3
  15. @FixIt44it would...I guess it is all about the lexicon and context used when signing on with the company. Kickback, incentive, sign-on bonus--all terminology that could determine the legality vs illegality of the "arrangement" ?. As we all know and have experienced, there is much corruption strewn into these programs, and it is unfortunate that we are pulled into it with no power to push back. Learned helplessness and letting go...
  16. @jancon201 I'm an RN in nj...and yes, FSS is a platform that I could have created in high school computer class. They should have established and refined their site and company before going live; it is ridiculous that they get away with calling themselves a recovery management business. Their tests have become insanely expensive too; I much preferred Affinity, which is what NJ used previously. I heard they switched to FSS because they received a $25,000 incentive to put in their pockets. Lovely.
  17. @SpankedInPittsburgh you make a good point! ..and that's impressive that you were in the army! We will all be stronger, and perhaps, a tiny bit more cynical once this is all over. Through suffering comes growth! ?
  18. agreed--I guess I just found the change from paper to gps to be a bit intrusive. @SpankedInPittsburghdo you also use FSS (I know they are based out of PA)...or do you have affinity? or neither =T
  19. once again, sorry for typos/grammar, I am writing this using swipe on my phone -_-
  20. yes! I just recently started using my flex spending account for drug screens last year--I didn't put enough into it, so I will remember that during open enrollment this coming year. I can't believe I'm saying this again, but I really miss affinity; what was once so easy, is now glitchy and tedious. Are any of you tracked for AA/NA meetings via GPS?
  21. I contacted a few law firm in the area that advocate for healthcare professionals just to inquire about the initiation process for a class action lawsuit. It is doubtful I will get much a response. I wish we still had Affinity, it is so so much better than FSS...which is like a website I could have created in high school computer class. It is glitchy and poorly designed....and the people working their aren't very functional or knowledgeable either. I guess I understand that they don't want to us to know what we are tested for, but we had a participant who had a false positive for a UDS (alcohol), and they refused to do a PEth and she was taken out of work and asked to inactivate her license...which seems suspicious. I wonder what the regulations are for obtaining testing records? I guess if all of these third party companies are doing it, they must be following some sort of guideline that allows it. I thank you for all of your responses--It is comforting, but also disheartening, to know that others are going through the same *** that we are here in NJ.
  22. Yes! Be grateful that it is just 1 year! In NJ they would subject you to 5 -_- I wish you the best--you'll get through this quickly and it will make you more cognizant of what you must do to avoid to being subjected to the program again. ❤️
  23. Has anyone ever been successful at submitting their testing bill to insurance for reimbursement? Also, has anyone successfully obtained their lab results/lab report from the monitoring program or affiliated third-party lab site? Wouldn't this be considered a violation of health information rights? ...or is there some sort of loophole?
  24. We have a few people that are struggling to pay for food, as they have just entered the program. I was fortunate because it was a tiny bit more reasonable when I started--45-65 dollar screens, and 60 dollar monthly payment. Now it's minimum of 65 for a UDS with a minimum of 4 PEth tests per year and 110 monthly. They have also added the right to test 3x per month when they feel like it. The billing for our testing is really sketchy too, and they add in weird fees and fines that aren't itemized. I know there is a Professional Assistance Program (for doctor's, np's, pa's), but they make sure we don't know about that program until after we sign their contract, and switching would be a breach of the contract we signed with them. Apparently, with the PAP program, insurance will cover the screens because they have a doctor that will reinforce the medical necessity of ongoing drug screening. I wonder if any other states have that as well?!
  25. @catsmeow1972 I completely agree, extortion operating behind the facade of it being a "voluntary" program. That's interesting to hear that there is actually a lawsuit against the Michigan program, I will have to look into that further. S_ue_Kink_le was the director of the Florida program at one point actually, not sure if you were there during her reign--she is now the head of business development for FSS (third part drug testing site). She was the director of the nj program when I first started and upon completion of my psychiatric eval. she decided she didn't like the "results" and forced me to go to a 4 night specialized evaluation at a place out in Ben Salem PA (a known facility that they are in cahoots with). I had excellent insurance at the time, but this "specialized eval" was not covered and I had to pay 2500 dollars out of pocket. They use defamation, slander/libel, and other corrupt and unethical tactics to smear our name during these evals to make us more well-suited on paper for their program. They also like to change our participant agreement contract as they please, forcing us to sign it each time they choose to enforce a new change or risk a contract extension ?! Seems legal right?... I would love to hear from someone with a legal background or an understanding of contract law. The rules change day to day, and as far as I can see, it is only getting worse. They increase requirements, costs, and seem to have become more and more punitive when one gets a false positive or abnormal urine. I guess we must just submit to their autocratic rule. I truly think the only reason they are getting away with all this illegal and unethical nonsense is because they view program participation as a choice... and if we don't like how they play ...we can forfeit.
