Is it normal that my school doesn't teach us IVs?
That's funny because we still learn IVs and how to do Foleys. I am based in Middle GA. I also learned blood draws because I am a critical care tech in the ER until I graduate nursing school

Hospital Job
Well in Georgia I just got hired as a tech and I got my job because I am in nursing school and have been in clinicals for class. Do you think they want you in the program already? I've never worked in a hospital before now. Did they give any specific job requirements? I know some places would rather take a CNA or a person with recent PCT experience but it just depends. Also could you contact them and ask why they did not consider you? I definitely don't think it's because you want to pursue nursing, they love to hear stuff like that. I wasn't even hired yet and my interviewers(now managers) were already telling me about nurse extern programs they offer in my department.

Do you NEED a study group to get through nursing school?
I've been in nursing school half a semester and we keep talking about forming a study group but never have.(Most of my friends/classmates work). One thing that we do instead though is use quizlet and text each other sample application questions that may be on the test. But I can say I am doing great in my classes without the study group I guess it just depends on the individual.

Teas help
Do you have the study book? And did you do the practice exam? I also bought the extra two ati Teas practice exams online that dont come with the book and it helped me tremendously. Most people that I have talked to from school messed up on that section due to time because it is a lot of reading in a small amount of time.

Grade confusion. Help pls.
Well I know for my school some teachers don't even post on blackboard(they are older teachers and are very old school). But my school usually makes teachers turn in every students grades to the school the next week after finals are over so that our grade will be on our transcript and we can just go online and see what we made in the class and what our updated GPA is from there.

Do I stand a chance at getting into nursing school?
I agree with everyone else do your research. Figure out what courses you may need for the program you want to go into. For my schools programs you need a 3.0 for BSN and a 2.5 for ASN and they take into consideration your GPA of just your upper level science courses(A&P I and II, Micro and Chemistry), they also consider how many times you may have taking those upper level science courses and your Nursing entrance test scores and if you have anything on your academic record(i.e. cheating, or other issues you may have had with a teacher). Also make sure you figure out the nursing exam you may have to take I live in GA and most schools here either make you take HESI or TEAS.

Failed anatomy and low GPA
So let me just say, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP YOU CAN DO IT! I took A&P I three times before I passed it. Made a F the first time a D the second and a B the third. I truly had to learn how to study for it because before I took any science courses at my school all of my other pre-reqs were easy and majority of them(even my math courses) I really did not need to study for. To pass A&P I realized I had to find a new way to study I made notecards(millions and I still have them today) and I read that book as if it was my bible. In a way I felt glad I took it so many times because it will truly help you once you take A&P II, Micro, Chemistry and I am sure it will be lots of help now that I am starting nursing in the spring. Also see if your school offers tutoring or if you can find a local tutor for a low price because going to the library for tutoring helped me a lot with topics I truly did not understand also look for online websites. Getbodysmart.com helped me the most especially on the muscles exam, and once you take A&P II it will help you with cardiovascular. Also don't be discouraged about reapplying to the nursing program I have been there and done that too. If you are planning on retaking this course next semester go ahead and start re-reading the material and preparing now. Some people can get things by reading them once but I know I am the type of person that may have to read things 2-5 times to make it stick. Also As far as the GPA goes I have been there too it took me forever to get a 3.0 my suggestion is go back an retake any course you may have had a C average in that you know you could of made a better grade in so that way if you do end up making a C in A&P you can still keep a high GPA without it dropping you too low. Oh and one more thing that helped me is the analogy book I found on amazon. I bought the coloring book my teacher suggested from our book store but I really did not like it because I would have to spend hours coloring too many details. The A&P analogy book I found was the Visual analogy guide to human anatomy and physiology by Paul Krieger. It helped out lots because I am a musical person and can remember songs on the radio within a day and this book had all types of analogies and riddles to help you remember key stuff for lecture and lab.
