  1. I'm a new graduate with no RN experience. A few of the hospitals that I've looked at consider new grads for ICU (I did my practicum in ICU), but I think these are a long shot, so I'd like to apply to ICU and M/S when I apply to these places. Will that look bad or decrease my chances of getting either job?
  2. Some questions I have: -How close is housing to the job site usually? -Does furnished really mean furnished? Or is it just partially furnished? -Is housing usually decent, clean, and in an ok area? -Do you usually have the opportunity to extend the length of the job, or is that rare? -Do you bring your car? If not, do you lease or how do you get around? -Anything else I should know? Thank you for any info!!
  3. Maybe you could do an online NP program? Then you would be deciding on the treatment for your patients.
  4. I just started nursing school and I've been told that we're not allowed to do IVs. Is this in all nursing schools or just mine? I'm worried that I won't be prepared when I get my first nursing job.
  5. I've worked as a psych. tech and I have severe depression. I've found that the key is to focus on the patient and not on yourself. Easier said than done, but it allows you to separate yourself from the emotional side of things.
  6. I want to go directly from my undergrad into my graduate school so I don't lose momentum. I know that I want to be a psychiatric NP and work as an RN while I'm in graduate school. The problem is that all of the schools that I've been finding require work experience. Are there any schools that offer an online Psychiatric NP program for RNs without work experience?
