Should I disclose my current job to interviewer?
How do you recommend I go about it? I don't want to be secretive but I also don't want them to to not give me a chance because of my situation.

Should I disclose my current job to interviewer?
I recently got a job on a med-surg unit at a hospital that is pretty far away from my house (a little over 2 hours). Because I was a new grad and in desperate need to repay my loans, I took the first opportunity that came. I have only been working for a week and I heard back from a local community hospital in my home city. They want me to come in for an interview. My question at this time is: Do I disclose that I am currently hired somewhere to the interviewer during the interview? I have heard different opinions about this. Some people have told me to be transparent and tell the truth. I want to do this because it allows me to work at my current job as I am getting my background check and etc. done with the new hospital without having to worry about them objecting me doing so. I have also heard, however, that I should not disclose this information because it may hinder my chances of landing this job. Being 2 hours away from home has been tough and I will continue until I do not land a job closer to home, but I don't know how I would go about this issue since this is my first paid work experience as an RN. Any help would be appreciated!

Applying to SF State ELM-A, USF, and Samuel Merritt ABSN for Spring 2017 Start
Hey guys!! I have a question that I hope one of you will have the answer to! I am also working on finishing up my prerequisites, but I will not be done with all of them until mid December. However, applications for places like Samuel Merritt are due by December 1! Do you think there will be any wiggle room for them taking my gpa with those courses into account? I know that my gpa is going to go way up once those courses are complete, but I wasn't sure if they could take the courses into consideration. My gpa is not that strong without my upcoming fall semester being taken into account. I have been looking at other stats and am not close to them My last 60/90 unit GPA without fall (which ends about December 13) is 3.26. I wanted to apply for both the ABSN and FNP. Thank you in advance!

Nurse Practitioner vs Nurse Anesthetist?
Hi guys!! I currently go to UC Davis and will be applying to schools in the upcoming cycles! I have always wanted to be a nurse practitioner, but I have recently heard more about nurse anesthetists and like that idea too! Has anyone done the research behind both or have any experiences that they could tell me about to help make my choice easier? Btw I am a non-nursing major student, so I can either do entry level msn or entry level bsn.

Samuel Merritt ELMSN, FNP program, Fall 2016 Oakland
Hi guys! I am going to apply to the Samuel Merritt FNP program in about a year! I was wondering if any of you that have gotten into the program would share your stats please? The ones on the website are outdated and I feel like gpa has to be a lot higher now! Thank you in advance :)

Samuel Merritt ELMSN, FNP program, Fall 2016 Oakland
Hey guys! Would any of you mind sharing your gpa's? I am thinking of applying to this program next year but my cum. gpa will probably be fairly low (around 3.3). I wasn't sure if this was too low. My prereq gpa is much higher.

Entry-level MSN California
Hi, I was wondering what's a competitive gpa for entry-level msn programs in California. I am a current student at UC Davis and will be graduating next year. I think that my cumulative gpa will be around a 3.3 by the time I am done with my bachelors degree. A little about me: I transferred to UC Davis last year from a CC. Unfortunately, I did really horrible my first year here (almost got kicked out). I have now changed my major and am performing much better. I am actually going to get all A's and A-'s this quarter! I know some schools focus more on your last 90 quarter units, and my last year may be taken into account in this situation since I will still be completing my last year when I apply. My pre-req's are almost all A's, besides a C in general chemistry. I was not doing that great in school when I took gen chem. I have actually taken ochem and performed better in it than gen chem. I would like to attend a school in northern California, but I am going to apply to southern california schools as well. Which schools do I have a chance of getting into (or do my chances of entry-level MSN not look good)? Also, do you guys have any recommendations/advice for what I should do to become a more competitive applicant? Are there also other threads about this topic? I wasn't able to find any. I am fairly new to this site.
