  1. I didn't... Who was it from?
  2. I haven't applied yet, it's due January 15th. The interview is after the first round decisions. Not sure what the date is exactly.
  3. 1st round decisions are mid February and second round is March 14th!
  4. I would suggest getting the ati study manual. If you understand every math problem in it then you will do great! The problems are very doable without a calculator. It's very basic high school math that just needs to be practiced.
  5. Yes UF, USF, and UCF! You? I have taken it, but made a 74% so I am taking it again. It is much harder than I anticipated and will be studying a lot for the next time. I made 90% on both the reading and math sections, but science was really hard for me. And the grammar was too, but I just need a little refresher on the rules.
  6. I'm applying to the summer term, but if I don't get in I will reapply to that term!
  7. Do you know what percentage we need on the teas? I just assumed it was 75% because that's what 300 points out of 400 is, but is that the way they calculate it?
  8. I'm so thankful I read this post. I am the type of person who always asks other people personal questions about their life, especially about their children. I have never meant to be rude or nosy, I simply like getting to know people and I love kids so I'm curious. I never knew that my questions could be hurtful or offensive. Thank you for making me more aware that this is a sensitive subject for many people!
  9. I am so sorry you had to witness this. I don't think your response has anything to do with your ability to be a nurse. When you get patients at work you didn't witness first hand how they were injured. You just have to treat them. Witnessing a suicide is not something you were trained for and shock seems like a perfectly normal response to me. I can't imagine seeing that. You were not a coward you are simply human.
  10. I'm so ready to be done too! I just have the microbiology lab that I'm in now. A few more weeks to go. Then I'm done with classes and I'll be doing a full time internship at Shands.
  11. Not at all. As of now my GPA is a 3.4 (will increase after this semester), I have six years of experience in assisted living care, volunteer work in the pediatric ICU and geriatrics. I only made a 74% on the TEAS, but that was without studying so I should be able to significantly increase it. What about you?
  12. You're the only one that can answer that question. If you are passionate about nursing and work hard then you will succeed. I would suggest volunteering in a hospital and shadowing a nurse to find out if you would like the profession.
  13. Hey y'all! I am excited about this thread! I am currently a student at UF studying Health Education and Behavior. I finished my application, but I haven't finalized it yet on NursingCAS. I am also nervous about not having the GRE as a requirement. That puts even more pressure on my GPA. I just took the TEAS today to apply to UNF and UCF. What other schools are you guys applying to?
