  1. I am 53 and have experience in CVTICU,ICU,ER,PACU and thinking about taking the plunge into travel nursing. Where do I begin? What is the best agency, are the benefits good? Is the Pay good? ADVICE?
  2. I make 42.00/hr in Tampa Florida on days. I work in Pacu.
  3. parking is only 10.00 a pay period.. its not bad.
  4. With our Hospital Tampa General we get 10% off too at Capella. So it's even better.
  5. Thank you very much for your help and input. Me and another nurse colleague are in the enrollment process. We should start July 7th. I'm doing Humanities with their sister school Sophia. And will start Orientation for Capella in June.
  6. It's 2400 for 12 weeks increments. Do as many as you can in 12 weeks. Most do about 4 classes in 12 weeks. But you can do more.
  7. So, would you do it over again if you were just starting? There are a lot of bad reviews but not for the flex path.
  8. Hello DeLynn. I am an RN for 30 years now, and my Hospital is requiring us to have BSN by 2020. Me and another nurse I work with are looking at on line schools. There are so many! I liked Capella because of the self paced, no discussion boards and no chemistry, stats or foreign language. However it seems like there are sooo many bad reviews! Do you recommend it? It seems the most doable to me. WGU wants me to repeat A&P and I already did it. I don't want their chemistry either. Why so many bad reviews on capella though??? Can you advise? Appreciate your input. Thank you
  9. Yes. Stats only. But very doable Capella doesn't have any of them. I'm trying to decide as well. Same thing I don't want chemistry, foreign language or stats if piossible. I'm only getting my BSN because my job requires it by 2010. Otherwise I wouldn't. How did you like GCU?
  10. Thank you, but this is Florida. And will I make more travelling? Idk
  11. 25 years experience. ER, ICU, CXTICU, PACU. This pay is on days with a clinical ladder diff that I accomplished. Evening diff would be 15% and nights would be 19% diff.
  12. Hello, I live in Florida and make 40.8 an hour full time at Tampa General Hospital.
  13. Hello everyone, I am a long time RN for 30 years now, and have a diploma RN from Canada. I am required to get my BSN by 2020. I work at Tampa General Hospital. They will pay 4,000 a year per calendar year. All schools have told me that I can divide it up, some this year and some next year to be able to get it paid. I'm now stuck between choosing a school. I want the least credits needed, reasonably priced, and the easier the better 😊 Im narrowed down to these, GCU, Chsmberlain, WGU, Capella. WGU is making me do the most credits though, including biochemistry, biology and stats. GCU is only telling me I need 11 classes which is half of WGU but is more e pensive. Capella is the least credits needed and no stats, no chemistry no biology all mainly nursing classes. They seem the easiest to do but how reputable are they? They are accredited. Any advice? thsnk you. Looking to start soon.
