La Salle University - CRNA Student 2025 Cohort
Hey. I hope you are well. I have not heard this information yet other than the email saying classes were being registered on November 12th, but have not heard anything else. I'm assuming it will be very soon like within the next few weeks. I don't think the clinical stuff is due until we actually start clinical in 2026 though. Hopefully we will get that information soon!

La Salle University - CRNA Student 2025 Cohort
Hey there. It was a really great interview experience. It wasn't a clinical scenario interview, but rather a personality and emotional intelligence interview. It's an individual interview where they get to know you. The questions were "why do you want to be a nurse anesthetist", "tell us how you manage your time", "how do you deal with stress at work", "what do you do for self care", "tell us how you have dealt with a difficult boss or coworker and how you handled it". I hope that helps. Two of my professors from undergrad were on the panel(who teach the online DNP courses) as well as a current student and the director and assistant director of the program. After the interviews, a walking tour of the sim lab and campus are done. It was a phenomenal interview experience, where they truly get to know a person. I hope that helps. I just got the email that they have almost completed the OR simulation lab. LaSalle just got a grant to build and innovate an entire anesthesia simulation lab. It's going to be an amazing program. I'm so excited to start.

La Salle University - CRNA Student 2025 Cohort
Hey y'all! I am starting in January 2025 as well. I went to La Salle for my undergrad BSN. I had a great interview experience and am so excited to return back to campus after 4 years. I think I just got the email that we are being registered for classes soon. So very excited. I loved La Salle and really think this new program will be phenomenal. If anyone wants to connect, feel free to respond

It was a really positive interview experience. Very friendly, and the tour was good. They actually received a 1 million dollar grant to create an entire operating room simulation. It is being built and organized before the first class starts clinical in 2025. No clinical questions were asked, just typical emotional questions. I really should it. They said we should know within a month. The director and assistant director both worked at Cooper for 25 or more years and are very experienced in the field and well respected. It's going to be a great new program. But I'm anxiously awaiting an email from Drexel too!

I think that La Salle was relatively new to transitioning when they interviewed the last class recently. They are in their first semester now. But, they did receive 10 years of accreditation for their new program. And after reviewing their course curriculum, it still seems to be solid and intensive and focused. When I researched the accreditation it says they have 20 clinical sites on board. I can't imagine that they wouldn't be prepared. Maybe the sim lab was empty since it was the new start. I think all nursing programs are short staffed for education. I wouldn't be surprised if Drexel also has this issue. I'm applying to only the schools that allow you to work for the first year or so to save up some more money. I have been preparing for my interviews this weekend. It's a struggle being a night shifter and getting back to normal on days off. I hope that we hear something soon. I would think it would be relatively soon. In terms of the Drexel deadline, I also only knew about the 03/31 deadline through email. It is not posted anywhere. I would imagine they are going through tons of applications. Has to be a rough time.

I am going to see for myself before I make an informed decision. They have had a stellar rep in the city for years now. I think Kost is giving some of his info to LaSalle to pass on the legacy instead of giving it to Jefferson. It will be a tough decision for me. I went to La Salle for undergrad, and loved it. It was so individualized and structured. I think given a chance, it will be the very best. I am hoping that Drexel will email very soon. I am getting so anxious, but at least I know I have one interview. I am just excited to be to this point really! I've worked so hard as a CICU nurse. I'm ready. ?

Thank you so much. Your stats are also impressive and unique! We all have worked so hard to accomplish this goal in life to become a CRNA. We should be so grateful to even have this opportunity. I am rooting for you, and hope we get an interview invite soon. ? We all have to support one another as nurses.

Drexel University CRNA - May 2025
Hi everyone. I have also applied for the Spring 2025 cohort. Haven't heard anything quite yet other than a response that the deadline was 03/31 and will be reviewing applications shortly after. I applied in December. I hope we get to hear something soon. Does anyone know what their interview process is like? Are they clinical; emotional, etc? My background and stats: Nursing GPA: 3.8, Science GPA 4.0, 1 year of cardiac stepdown experience, 2.5 years of cardiac ICU experience in a level one trauma ICU. I am trained in ECMO, LVADs, Impellas, fresh post op lung and heart transplants, and have been in the charge role. And I have my CCRN as well.

Johns Hopkins Hospital Nurse Residency Program 2020
Hi! Just so make sure you are aware, I just received an email from a recruiter that if you are coming from a non-compact state(NY), you can practice on your NY license in Maryland for 30 days and possibly longer with the Emergency of coronavirus. As long as you show proof that you have applied for endorsement in MD, you can practice on your NY license! Hope this alleviates some stress for you!

Has anyone been able to endorse their license easily coming from a non-compact state? Has MDBON given you the temp license and if so how soon did You receive it? At what point can you get the fingerprints? Do I just bring the fingerprint application to the locations listed and they do it electronically? Do you do this before or after submitting the endorsement application? Any advice greatly appreciated. Since they are not responding via phone or email at this time. SO FRUSTRATING! How can the BON be unavailable to the public during a pandemic crisis?? So ridiculous

@mintmojito thanks. I’m doing mine in PA first. I just hear horror stories! I finish my last final literally tonight! So excited! Best of luck! Wish me luck taking the NCLEX! ? I hope when I apply for endorsement that a temp license will be given quick that lasts for 90 days.

@RNBSNMay2020 did you do electronic fingerprinting in Maryland or hard mail copy of fingerprints? I think that might make a huge difference from what I understand!

@mintmojito I’m also moving from PA(Philly) starting October 5th. I was able to get apartment with giving them my offer letter. That was sufficient enough. Question for you, how long did it take to get your ATT letter and license in PA? I am going to be taking the boards end of August! Thanks. Any other questions feel free to ask me! There are several apartment communities in Mount Vernon which is a great neighborhood for $1000 or under for a one bedroom or studio.
