I haven't heard anything back either...I know that it says on their website that if you do not get an email requesting an interview by two weeks before the interview date, you can assume you didn't get an interview and should apply for the next cohort. Two weeks before the interview day is this Wednesday...I'm so bummed! Has anyone who applied to the acute care track heard back?

Hi all! Just wanted to see if anyone else has applied to Seattle Children's Nurse Residency or heard back about an interview! I applied to cancer care, medical, and surgical!

Hi! I just wanted to respond to your post because I am in a pretty similar situation right now! I don't have much info to share yet but hopefully can help you guys out down the road. I just graduated from a Case Western's nursing program in Ohio and my fiancé works at Amazon here in Seattle. I'm in the process of interviewing for some positions, hoping for NICU or Seattle Children's. Seattle Children's has a nurse residency program and they open up applications for each cohort for about two weeks. I know they have a cohort in March but I don't think they have the info on specific application/interview dates posted on their website yet! They do have a lot of great info on the application process on their website though! So anyways, you'll know exactly when the ideal time is to apply to Seattle Children's because you will know when their application will be open! As far as for other hospitals in the area, they kinda just post the residency applications on their career sites as they start taking applications for them! I generally applied as soon as I saw them posted, but I'm not sure if that was the correct way to go about it. I know there's some debate on whether you should apply before/after you get your RN licensure? I definitely did not have a job lined up before I graduated, which was tough, because similar to what you said, most of my classmates already had jobs lined up in Ohio months before graduation. I think the timeline is just a little different here in Seattle than it is in other areas? Or maybe just different because I'm from out of state? Also might be different for December grads vs May grads! Anyways, sorry I can't help you guys much yet but I'd love to share more info with you as I continue in the job process! I know firsthand how difficult it is to move to a new area right after graduation and try to find a job, so I'm glad to help!

I've gotten a few emails from the recruiter about interview opportunities but none of them have been in my top choice. I was told that there are no more NICU interview positions open at this point... @ki3t, do you mind me asking what your top choice specialty is? Congrats on getting an interview in your top choice!!! That's so exciting!

Hi! Do you mind if I ask of your timeline of applying to/hearing back from Harborview? I applied to Harborview recently and haven't heard back from them yet. I am also a soon to be new grad, planning on moving to Seattle in May! I don't live in Seattle yet, so I probably can't give the best info on where to look to live.. but my fiancé lives in the Westlake area and that is where I will be living! There's a lot of great neighborhoods not too far from Harborview, just kind of depends on what type of area you are looking for/how long of a commute you would like! Best of luck to you on hearing back about a job offer!

I also had a hirevue interview for swedish last week! I haven't heard anything back since and I'm wondering how long it typically takes for them to contact us regarding second interviews? Taylorlb, I think the hospital you applied to is different than Swedish? I could be wrong though! I'm also an out of state new grad!!

Just wondering if anyone else has applied to the Swedish nurse residency for August 2018?
