With my HHA I had to do lots of driving and my clients family thought I was there to drive them also. I am so glad that job ended.

I passed my CNA on June 4th. I will take the GNA paper test and 5 skills this coming saturday.

It sounds shady to me. The training is supposed to be 10 weeks so I would go to an accredited institution or try the Red Cross.

I am in the same boat, I went to LPN and graduated in 1994. I took another career path and now in 2012 I am in CNA school. I am enjoying it so far and as of now I don't know if I want to re-take the LPN NClex.

I wear skecher's to work. They have laces and are non slip. I like them and tomorrow i am going to put my insole in them.

I am super nervous also. My instructor informs us that we will be doing 5 skills when I thought it was just two.

I am going to take it in December. I am going to give myself two months to study and take the test questions.

That will be my issue once I retake my boards after 15 years I will be a deer in headlights. I have been working in an unrelated field and I will surely need some training.

Thanks so much for your help. I've ordered the book on amazon.com and I mailed my application off for the nclex. The board also gave me the phone number of a nurse that would tutor me on the test. I need all the help I can get.

I am sure that I can find a volunteer job until my comfort level is fine.:wink2:

I've purchased saunders today from amazon.com and I am hoping this will be all I need.

I've done those things while I was in school. Maybe I can volunteer or something before I start a job.

Hello, I've contacted the state board and was told that I just have to apply to take the boards and to get a book on the Nclex. Thanks for all your help. I am going to purchase the NCLEX book today and start studying.
