I submitted unofficial transcripts with my application. I was then told that if accepted, you would then have to submit official transcripts.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020
I'm not sure about enrolling yet, but in regards to transcripts, I emailed the DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT an electronic transcript which he said he received. The other transcripts which I sent via regular mail will be received once the school lets the staff back onto campus after the outbreak (hopefully) cools down a bit.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020
That IS a bummer. Shows how much I know haha. Oh well, if we can wait three months, another week shouldn’t be too bad.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020
I emailed him near the end of January and he said that they’re aiming for the end of March with our decisions. However, I also saw that they told the MECN students to expect to hear back at the end of February, and they got notified on February 6th. So hopefully that means we’ll hear back within the next few days.

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020
Nothing yet, but judging from previous posts from the past few years, we should be hearing back 3-4 weeks after the MECN students. So basically any day now. Hopefully.

It looks like the MECN students have started to get their acceptance letters, so hopefully ours shouldn’t be too far behind!

UCLA MECN Fall 2020
Hi everyone! I’m an applicant for the APRN program but I’ve been watching this post closely because our decisions usually come out a few weeks after yours. Here’s hoping we all hear back soon!

I just sent an email to -------------------- asking when we could expect to hear back, and he told me that they were aiming for the end of March. ?

UCLA MSN/APRN FALL 2020
I’ve looked at the threads for the previous cohorts, and it looks as if a response can be expected as early as mid-February and as late as mid-March

UCLA Summer 2016 RN New Grad Residency Program
Yes, I sent as many thank you emails as I could. I found out about a month later that I got accepted through email. They didn't ask me for a reference check, although it could always change. Waiting is the worst part, I know! Just hang in there!

UCLA Summer 2016 RN New Grad Residency Program
Hey there, sorry for the late reply, I have to sleep so early these days! I honestly don't remember very many clinical questions at all. Mostly they were about my personality. The OR is a very high stress environment and they want make sure that you can work well with others in such a setting. Other than that, if you have any OR experience at all, make sure you sell yourself on that! There are dozens of other interviewees and you want to make sure that you make yourself stand out from the rest, although if you made it this far into the process, I'm sure you already did. Best of luck, and I hope to see you on the other side!

What can I do with a Master's degree in the OR?

What can I do with a Master's degree in the OR?
Hi everyone, I'm a newly minted nurse, having passed my boards a few weeks ago. I've worked as a secretary in the Operating Room of a major trauma center in Southern California for the past three years, and I've come to love the idea of pursuing a career in OR nursing. My question for you all is this: what can one do with a Master's degree in the OR setting? If I recall correctly, an RNFA's scope of practice allows him/her to perform relatively complex procedures such as cutting and suturing tissue, yet they are not required to hold an advanced degree. What additional duties and responsibilities, if any, could an OR nurse be given if he/she were to possess a Master's degree, or were a Nurse Practitioner? Thank you all for your input!
