Hi ROSALAURA, To be honest this has been the most humbling two years of my life. Nursing school is hard, extremely hard, but is doable. A lot the pressure stems from the enormous amount of reading and studying you are responsible for. Especially if you are working and have a family like myself. In MY opinion the school is a bit unorganized and things are constantly changing but hey I am already here. The best piece of advice I can give is to make friends. The ones that start with you will hopefully be the ones that end with you. You are going to need the encouragement, time to vent, time to cry , time to study and the support you get from each other. I looked at my transcript today and almost cried because I cant believe how far I have come and how quickly December will be here. Good luck!!

Congrats to everyone who got accepted for the Fall 2017 semester. I just completed Nursing 3 and am on my way to Nursing 4. Get ready to buckle down because this sure is going to be a very emotional, difficult and humbling ride. I am here if you have any questions.

These are the times I am grateful that I am completely vaccinated. :). I took one final yesterday, I have another tomorrow and one next Tuesday. I will be arriving early for the parking chip. Oh I got my books but they are all still in boxes. I can't begin to look at those till my final is over. See u Saturday

So Sunkissed u were right. I just spoke to the uniform company and the pants only comes in regular and petite. So i will be in the Uniform Palace on Saturday buying my tall pants.

Not sure if this comment was for me, but if it was I studied the Kaplan Book that they recommended but personally the book is crap. For the reading section- there is no studying for that The math- you have to know basic - percentages, ratio and fractions( multiply, adding) For the grammar section you have to know what are and the correct usage of nouns, verbs, adjectives. Sentence placement and so forth. The science is A&P1 - it is NOT system and functions Thats all I can really help you with, hope it helps.

These book prices are killing me. So by Jan i have to purchase $500 worth of books? Where the hell am I supposed to get this money from. We better use every damn page in every book for these prices!!!!!!! Sorry i had to let that out.

So I signed into Moodleroom ONCE:roflmao: since I have had my sign in. I am currently an LPN at Montefiore so i have pretty much all my supplies. I used to work for my so my physical is on Monday. I am going to order my uniforms right now. It is mandate that I am CPR certified so I already handed in a copy of my CPR card. I already took my flu shot. So all that is left is getting theses book.

Yes me and Sweetblu are driving everyone crazy lol! So when I went to pay my deposit on Friday I asked Sandra if we really have to have ALL these books by Jan. She said that it is best we have the books that are required for the reading assignment that is due before class. As for the shoes I meant the Nike Air Max. If you dont find the Air Max or Reebok Classic comfortable then u are going to end up in clogs:roflmao: Has anyone found the Dosage and calculation form on Moodles

So I went to pay the $200.00 to hold my seat today. I got a confirmation letter with deadlines and due dates. I also got my Moodlerooms log in. So Im on my way. See u guys in Jan

Ok so I found your thread- obviously:roflmao: Congrats!!!!!!!!!! I am still finishing up some of my pre reqs so I am kind of relieved that I can focus more on passing these classes without the headache of having to study for the KAT any longer. I have thoroughly read the admission packet. (Whhhooosssahhhh). I am paying my for my placement today. As far as the CPR and flu shot stuff- I am a LPN at Montefiore so I am mandated to have these updated. What is bugging me out is the book list, If you look at the page that breaks down tuition you will notice that the costs of textbooks says $11,000.00. Of course that was an error but I made sure to call the school to clarify. I cannot afford all of those books by Jan 9, 2016. Something has to give. As for sneakers I would recommend the all white Rebok Classics( extremely comfortable) or The all white Nike Air Max.

Hello everyone, So apparently I have been reading the wrong thread(post) for the MSON Spring 2016. I was reading the thread for MSON 2015. Thanks to my A&P2 classmate she put me on to this one. I took the Kaplan Exam on 10/30. It was very nerve racking. Needless to say I got my acceptance email on Thursday at 5:35 pm. I literally cried all not. I am so humbled right now. I found out today in class that my classmate also got accepted. So congrats to everyone who got in. I will see u in January.

I received my acceptance email today. Wow I can't stop crying. I am so thankful and grateful.
