  1. Hello, wanted to ask about VA route. I was considering working for VA and trying out this route. Need to retake some science courses to boost up science GPA. I saw how competitive it is. They only have about 2-4 slots each year and you are competing with others all over US or just where you work? Also if accepted does the VA still pay you while in school or you have to quit and focus primarily on school?
  2. I spoke with Latisha today and she said cardio for williamson got filled, i tried asking if i could get the offer reinstated lol you can try the telemetry floor for seton main, i was able to get an interview for that floor
  3. Do you know if they offer anything else? I know they pay 26.76 starting but do you get raises? And it said rotating schedule so do you just do a mix of night and days? I got an offer for st David’s starting 25 then 27 after 6 months, they have a loan repayment program and reimburse you for nclex, only thing is they have a contract and seton doesn’t so I’m not sure if i should just stay with them or seton.
  4. I got an offer for cardio at williamson but declined it. If you decide to get an interview, the manager seemed really nice & Latisha the recruiter is very helpful. They do get 5 patients on days and 6 on nights. I’m sure you’ll hear something
  5. One of my friends got a call from them today but told her they weren’t hiring for any of their floors only ED and they were taking 1 person.
  6. Does anyone know once you get an offer how long you have to accept or decline?
  7. For those that accepted offers, how long did you have to accept or decline? I am hoping for an offer for another hospital but not sure the timeframe that is expected to accept.
  8. Do happen to have any of the recruiters email?
  9. I just got an interview for seton Williamson med surg
  10. that's great! I just got a call for med surg Williamson but it was a phone interview with the recruiter? is that what they said it was going to be?
  11. I would just be patient, i received a call from a recruiter just verifying my top choices then reminded me of the expo “round rock”. I’m sure you’ll hear something soon
  12. Yeah same i didn’t really get like an actual interview on the spot though. I really hope they call me lol
  13. There was so many applicants today! Kind of overwhelmed
  14. Hi! I’m applying for the June 2019 cohort wanted to ask if it took a while to get interviews and offers? Do they ask for references or contact employers? Thanks
  15. I’ve heard it can take a while about 3-4 weeks
  16. They should specify in the interview to explain what your top choice is and why
  17. I think you would be ok if you didn’t attend the expo although it would be helpful. I know memorial is crucial, my friend went to one last time and got an offer. Supposedly those that applied on the 1st got priority on being contacted. I got called last week, told them my interests and that for me to attend the expo for bsw
  18. You could but you wouldn’t be offered an interview or anything, since the deadline or nclex is June 29th. They should have another open house for that time frame
  19. It should be in the email they sent you to confirm your attendance
  20. I just got a call from one of the recruiters named Dennis. He just asked my top specialties, locations, reminded me of the expo they’re having and that he’ll keep my info in touch with a manager. Praying for my top choice!
  21. I applied right on the 1st hopefully i get a call back lol
  22. Nothing yet, I applied for round rock I know they're having a job fair on the 2nd, so hopefully ill have some luck there
  23. Ill be going 2-3. I applied for all ICU positions. Staying hopeful lol
