I'm in the online RN-BSN program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and have had a great experience so far. I live overseas as well (temporarily) so having a no clinicals requirement was important when I researched programs (turns out the facility here couldn't accommodate had I needed the clinical component). There are nine core classes in the program, and each is 8 weeks long. Classes usually consist of quizzes, discussion forums, written assignments, and usually a final project or paper. I'm starting my last class next week (Capstone) and while relieved I'm almost done, am grateful for the opportunity to attend school -- worked well with my volunteer commitments and the frequent travel we were able to do. Good luck in finding a program!
