SUNY Brockport BSN Second Degree Program - Summer 2017
I got waitlisted too. Not a rejection so I am happy! I never got an email though just a letter home. The letter said we could be waiting until May 1st to hear if we got in or not. Hopefully it will be sooner than that!

I also applied and haven't heard anything from the school. I thought I remember hearing that we would find out December 1st. When I check my application it still says "ready for review".

Financial Aid before acceptance MCPHS?
Hello, I have a question for @dtaylor723, if you don't mind me asking: Did you get a financial aid package in the form of grants, or was it all loans? I am applying for fall admission and would love to go to MCPHS but the cost is too much for me to take on in loans, I would definitely need some grants to offset the costs. Thank you.

Stony Brook Accelerated Nursing Class of 2018
Hi, I was just wondering if you think the course load is manageable? Do you feel like it is rushed fitting everything all in one year? Is the schedule 9-5 M-F basically? I am deciding between the one year and the two year program.

Stony Brook Accelerated BSN 2017 start
Hello! I am also applying to Stony Brooks accelerated program. I live not too far from campus so it would be nice to be able to stay home for nursing school. I checked the website and couldn't find any information about the essay/ application you guys are referring to? Am I missing something? All I see is the basic info about deadlines, pre reqs, etc. Also, do we first have to apply through the SUNY system before applying to the nursing program? I have tried contacting the school but I am never able to get in contact with the nursing department. Thanks! and good luck in your application process!

Adelphi nursing program
Hi iNurse, I was just wondering how long it took you to complete the BSN as a transfer student? And did you have all of the pre-reqs completed before you started the program? Thanks!

Adelphi nursing program
That is reassuring to hear, especially about the job placement. Do you know if the pre-requisites for the basic BSN are the same for the accelerated program? I hope you hear back soon! Would also love to hear what others have to say about the program

Adelphi nursing program
Hi everyone, I am looking for any reviews people have on the BSN program at Adelphi, either the PATH program or the regular BSN. I'm strongly considering this school because its close to home. Do you feel like the program has prepared you well for a career in nursing? Also was the workload manageable? Thank you!

Adelphi Nursing Program Spring 2015 (not Path)
Hi thank you for offering to do this! I was just wondering your overall thoughts on the program in general? Do you think that the program prepared you enough for your career? Were you on the Garden City campus or the Manhattan campus? Thank you!

Adelphi Nursing Program Spring 2015 (not Path)
Hi, I know Adelphi has an accelerated program (PATH) for people who already have bachelor's degrees but I was wondering if they have a more decelerated program for people who already have a bachelors? Also for people who went through the PATH program did you find it to be too fast-paced or was the workload manageable? Thank you

Gap Year Before ABSN?
Hello, I am currently a junior in a 4 year university getting my bachelor's degree in Public Health and Healthcare Administration. I did not know coming out of high school that I wanted to become a nurse so I will have to go through an accelerated BSN program after I graduate. I am graduating a semester early in order to prevent racking up more debt. By the end of my degree I will have a manageable amount of debt that I can pay off within the year if I live at home. I am contemplating taking a gap year in between graduating and starting a nursing program in order to get more healthcare experience, pay off my debt, and finish some pre-reqs for other programs. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on taking a gap year or if anyone would recommend that I go straight through to a nursing program? I personally would feel more comfortable if I paid off my undergrad debt before starting nursing school but there are many people who have told me to go straight through as I will be making more money as an RN. Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated!

Advice for ABSN hopefuls?
Hi all. Sorry I am new to this website and I originally posted this in a different forum but I don't know how to delete it so I am posting it here. Currently I am a Junior in college pursuing a degree in Health Sciences. Unfortunately I realized a bit too late that I want to become an RN so I will have to complete an accelerated program. I am applying to ABSN programs over the summer 2016 that way I can go straight after I graduate undergrad. I will have all of my pre-reqs done by then. I had an internship this past summer in a hospital and I will start volunteering in a hospital near school soon. Is there anything else that any of you would recommend that I do to stand out for ABSN programs? I have a pretty good GPA and doing well in the pre-reqs but the only thing that worries me is I have a B- in Gen Chem1 and a C+ in Orgo 1. The programs I am looking into are Binghamton BAT, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Stony Brook, Adelphi PATH, Drexel ACE and MCPHS. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.
