  1. I didn’t have great stats so I’m not surprised I didn’t get it. California schools in general are notoriously difficult to get into. My GPA was 3.18, but I’ve already taken pathophysiology and pharm so I thought they might help. The personal statement questions made it difficult to squeeze everything into a single page. Tyson’s Corner had maybe 3 questions compared to Sacramento’s 5.
  2. I applied to the Sacramento campus and didn't get in. I opted to apply to the Tysons Corner location since they allow you to try other campuses and I got in! I'm from Sacramento so this is going to be a very big move for me!
  3. Hi masterswim21 Just to let you know, if you have an interview, the college has pretty much said yes, pending your ability to fund your education. The interview process is more of an interview for you, they show you around campus, ask you a few simple questions about why you want to be a nurse and why at this time. Then they show you the simulation lab down the street. I live in the Sacramento region, and I'm thinking about moving out there mid March. The orientation will be around March 24 or 25 and is in the morning for about 5 hours. I've been looking at either taking the light rail or buying a monthly pass for a garage (maybe splitting it with another student). For people from California, everything seemed very cheap, except housing. You can find me on Facebook, my name on here is the same on there.
  4. Hi masterswim21! The start date is April 4. I have family that lives in Denver, so I'm renting a room from a cousin in the Highlands Ranch area (way southern Denver). What part of nor Cal are you from? When is your interview?
  5. I thought if you already have a Bachelor's degree you don't have to take the HESI...
  6. I just scheduled my interview for DSN too! My interview is on January 11 and I'm from northern California.
  7. Hi so.stylistic, I haven't unlocked the private messaging yet so I can't read your message. I have an interview with DSN in January! Have you heard anything back yet?
  8. I have an interview next week for the same cohort! I have an application in at the Denver School of Nursing that I should be hearing back from in the next few days. I'm also from California, Sacramento area to be specific. Happy you accepted, that's a huge relief off your shoulders. Now to start hunting for a room, moving out there, etc.
  9. I'm applying for the same cohort at DSN! I'm having a hard time keeping my personal statement to 1 page though. Keep the thread updated when you hear anything!
