  1. It depends on your hospital location but I went to the ER & OR at JPS in my adult semester.
  2. Hey guys!! I am a current nursing student at TCC. I am graduating in 27 days!!!!!! I just wanted to wish you all luck and you let you know that it is a wonderful program. It is stressful but totally manageable. A few tips: get a PCT job after your first semester. It helps when it comes time for GN interviews and helps seeing the action first hand Breathe and take it one day at a time They will tell you that you cant have a personal life anymore but that is not true. It just takes a commitment and its a balancing act. lol During boot camp you will have the opportunity to select a mentor, I would consider it! Have fun and remember it all will be worth it!!!
  3. I have accepted a position at medical city Weatherford. Anyone else going to be working there?
  4. I'm in my second semester of the program and I'm not going to lie it's tough but it's supposed to be that way. I like the program and haven't heard anything negative about it.
  5. There isn't any science on TCC hesi. They use your 3 science class GPA for that. Good luck studying!!! That book was very helpful to me
  6. Hey Guys!!! I would not be disappointed if you dont get an email tomorrow. More than likely it will be next week sometime and they dont send them out on the weekends. They normally send them out early afternoon. That is what I have noticed in the past (I applied three times). I know the wait is HORRIBLE but it will all be worth it. Once your accepted I would start looking for ways to get organized (a planner of some sort is a must) and make a FB group because that is where many people will sell their books or supplies and also post about swapping schedules once you receive them. Checking your email everyday is a good habit to get into because you will get several emails a day starting abut 6 weeks before school starts. I would also suggest that as soon as you receive your boot camp email complete as much of it as you can. You will have a lot of due dates and then they will email you will something else and if you dont write it down or complete it immediately it can be easy to forget something and they dont like that at all. Once you get accepted I know its exciting and you want to start working on things but take the time to enjoy yourself and relax. Once you start you will be very busy!!!!! I say that because its week 3 and I have 4 "test" due next week already. Good luck to you all!!!!! :)
  7. I would recommend that you guys keep yourself busy and not check this board until you know if you got in or not. It's a stressful time and constantly thinking about doesn't help. I checked the discussion board everyday and I kind of wish I hadn't cause then the time would have gone much faster.
  8. thats true. My GPA was 3.3 and Hesi 95 and someone else had a 92 was accepted. A lady in my clinical group was an alternate (was eventually accepted) with 3.6 or 3.3 GPA and a 86 hesi.
  9. You should be fine!!! I think a few people had lower scores and got in. School starts on the 29th so we haven't started class yet.
  10. Your welcome!!! They have to accept at least 170 new students now so the minimum is 170 they will take for spring.
  11. Hey guys!!! I am a foundations student that just got accepted for the Fall 2016 program. My scores were 2 As and 1 C and a 95 hesi. I know someone else that had 1 A and 2 B and a 92 hesi and she was accepted as well. They also are taking more students than the normal 130. My class they took 180 and will start taking that amount for future classes. Good luck to you all!
  12. Acceptance is based only on the 3 sciences and hesi score. They want you to have your other requirements completed before the program starts cause it's easier on you but it's not required to be accepted. I applied 3 times with A B C and my hesi scores were 85 86 92.5 and I was denied all three times. I just applied with A A C and a 95 hesi and was accepted. I know someone else had A B B and a 92 and was accepted as well. TCC only looks at your science and hesi so if you can I would suggest you try and improve your C to a B or your B to an A and if you can make above a 93 on your hesi then you should not have a problem of being accepted. Good luck to you!!
  13. We haven't gotten our schedules yet but foundations is where you learn your basic skills, laws, and protocol (from what other students have said)
  14. The passport photo is your students ID picture
  15. I got in with A A C and a 95 hesi
