  1. Mid-Nursing School Crisis

Oh I just realized, sorry about my use of female pronouns in my previous post. Please don't take it offensively if you identify otherwise.
  2. Mid-Nursing School Crisis

This is all very normal and frankly kind of good. I would rather have a nurse who was smart, but careful because of her fear than a nurse who was carefree because she thought she knew it all. None of us will ever know everything there is to know abo...
  3. NCLEX - It must be all a myth.

I had a ton of SATA and infection control/ contact precaution questions and I had a strange number. I think the screen cut off around 160. I'm and RN so I guess none of that matters now. I agree that all the speculation is myth.
  4. Cra Cra co-workers

Like I said, I'm not above being tired or annoyed. I'm human. I've been in many nursing situations where I've felt that way. I know that NICU nurses aren't angels. No one is. This is just so personal to me because I was there. I know what that's lik...
  5. Cra Cra co-workers

Sorry I'm thread hijacking too. That just struck a chord with me because we spent four long months in the NICU. I feel like it's just a horrible breach of trust for a nurse to behave that way.

  9. Getting back into nursing.

Hi all! I am an RN in Fl. Two years ago I had a baby who ended up in NICU for four months and I left my job with the Florida Dept of Health to take care of him and I've been home ever since. I have my ADN and have recently returned to school for my B...
  10. Cra Cra co-workers

As the parent of a former NICU baby, this is super offensive to me. If I'd ever caught my kids nurse doing something like that I would've strung her up by her toes. We were the type to pop in unexpected at night frequently though :).
  11. Endorsing to the next shift.

I think there are certain things that are ok to hand off and others that aren't. Orders scheduled for your shift should be completed unless it's something that needs to be carried over or was delayed for reasons beyond your control (like pharmacy not...
