I accepted a job offer but now I want to back out
Hello there. I am a New Grad RN. I finally received a call back from the job of my dreams which is a med-surg respiratory unit at a hospital! This hospital happened to be the place where I also did clinicals and it is only 15 minutes away from me! My problem is that a few days ago, I accepted a position at an allergy clinic because I was not sure whether I would get the job offer from the hospital. How do I tell the allergy clinic I am withdrawing my acceptance without burning bridges??? HELP!!!

What am I doing wrong in my job search? Advice please?
Hi there! I am also a New Grad RN and I was in the same exact position as you when I graduated 3 months ago! I sent about a hundred applications and I finally got calls after a month... Now I am about to work in a hospital. Here are some tips to doctor up your resume: *List your best qualities in the front (ex. hard-working nurse, excellent with building relationships, etc.) *Put your nursing experience (ex. experienced working with clients with respiratory disorders, etc.) *Put your computer skills (say what computer documentation you have experience with) *Say that you are motivated and willing to learn Then... put your licenses and certificates... I took ACLS to add that to my resume. I also volunteered before and during nursing school with American Red Cross. If you have no volunteer experience, get some. It shows you like to be involved with your community. It also shows you care about people.

How To Get a Job As a New Grad Nurse
I'm a New Grad, I have several job offers now 9 interviews later... I submitted about 100 applications to different places! Before and during nursing school, I volunteered with kids and Red Cross and I was able to put that in my resume! I also helped out with my nursing school fundraiser for our pinning ceremony so the instructors saw that effort and it paid off because I was able to use them as my references.
