  1. I have heard of students doing this. I think in the Indiana cohort they had a student from Chicago that would travel. I asked my enrollment counselor about doing it because I am in Ca and it is extremely competitive here and she said no. But you could always ask and see.
  2. Oh my holy squirrel turds! I still have not heard anything...... not sure if that's good or bad ( probably really doesn't mean either lol) I'm going crazy here...... My EC is always really good about calling me and keeping me updated and I don't have very high hopes about getting in this round because I wasn't able to retake my exam so I don't want to call and bug her just yet........ I hate the waiting game I wish they would just post a list somewhere lol..........OK rant over
  3. Congratulations Jan!
  4. Hopefully! But I'm not keeping my fingers crossed for myself this time. I didn't get to retake my exam due to my health. But that's okay if I don't get in I'll get it next time! And although I'll be happy at any cohort, Cedars is my dream cohort Lol.
  5. They said should start notifying everyone about the April cohort around the 17th to the 20th.
  6. Congratulations EsJ87!
  7. Just got the call it's a no for me also
  8. I'm sorry missfuture_rn102...... I have not heard anything yet, but when I talked to my EC yesterday she told me to just prepare to retake my TEAS exam because of all the candidates they had this time with high scores....so I'm sure I will be getting the dreaded you didn't make it call in the next day or so...... it's okay we can try for the April cohort!
  9. No she didn't say where the clinical location would be. All she said was she would be getting in touch with me sometime this week to let me know because they should know in the next couple of days and that because of the January cohort getting pulled there was a lot of candidates in this pool with high TEAS scores..........next cohort after this will be April with a mid-February cut off for applications.
  10. OK I just talk to my enrollment counselor she said they will be posting the list in the next couple of days...... and that it was a really large candidate pool this time
  11. Anyone hear anything yet for the pre-licensure cohort for February 2017 in California?
  12. I still want to do healthcare I just don't think I could do nursing where you have the same patients for an entire day for possibly weeks. Also, the politics suck. I worked as a lab tech, lots of politics there and the nurses politics bled in as well since we worked so closely..they were so miserable!!! I'm trying to enjoy my life, not hate it because you inevitably bring work home. Plus, people are gross lol the amount of elderly people who don't trim their nails and have peeling skin amazes me. Where is their family?! I think that's why EMS works so well for me, I have them for maybe 20 minutes tops then I dump them and it's great. On to the next great adventure!! I'm on to see how prosthetics are! [emoji33] good luck and keep in touch, let us know how it goes!
  13. Congratulations on making the September cohort!!!!! I was hoping to start in October but I think it'll be January.
  14. Well I'm sorry to hear that, but I do understand. There are way to many politics in the hospital world and seem to be more and more every year. I think this might have a little to do with why I hospital hop, as far as work goes I don't usually stay more then 3 years at one place, except where I'm at now and that's only for school [emoji14] And as far as the bs complaints I really feel for you, I'm an RT, I think more than half of the treatments/therapy I do are bs lol
  15. EmmReeCPT how are classes going
  16. I would retake the A&P and try for at least a b
  17. Edukan.org...... They partner with a few community colleges in Kansas. They have most classes you will need online, even the science classes with lab and the transcript does not show it as a online class.
  18. Thank you I will look in to these.
  19. Yes I just have an associates degree unfortunately I'm in California and do not have many options as far as a bridge program or anything like that. Also the college that I received my AS degree from was a private school that did not offer labs with the science courses so I'm having to redo a lot of classes.
  20. Would you be able to recommend a few in your area. I'm interested in checking them out to see if I can expand my net a little wider than just praying to get into only WGU.
  21. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 33 and have been an RT for over 10years now and trying to go back to become a RN
  22. I think this is the Cedars group but not 100% sure. Cottage would be awesome, but I'm in the Bakersfield area so it's going to be quite a commute for me no matter where lol. But Cedars is a great hospital to learn at. But sadly things have come up with one of my kids and I don't think I'm going to make the deadline and this is the last cohort of the year I believe so I will probably have to wait till next year but I'm going to keep pushing until the last second praying to make it lol.
