  1. My preceptor who passed her first time told me it took her two months to get her license because there was a discrepancy in the testing software on the day she took her test. As long as they don't let you reregister to retest, I would say you're safe.
  2. Hi there! Just graduated from WGU CA and on the site for job advice. Saw your post and felt compelled to reply (but I hope you don't need it anymore). From my understanding, they consider candidates who have their bachelors or associates first. And from that pool, they only look at prerequisite GPA, not overall. I don't remember what the prereqs are exactly, but A/P, micro, biochem, etc. And WGU states the cutoff for TEAS is 60%, but in reality, it's 90%+. But most of all and after the stats, they look for experience and maturity. I happened to have very good stats: Bachelors of Science in Biology, 4.0 prereq GPA (3.2 overall GPA, which is not taken into consideration), 97% TEAS, 2 years EMT. But the classmates who wouldn't be thought to have the best stats going into nursing school, I know will be the nurses I would want to take care of me. Moral of the story: I believe WGU CA, after a long pause, is reopening its applications in April 2020, so I would highly suggest submitting your application. And once it's in, they have it on file and will consider you every application cycle (which I believe is quarterly). So you can retake classes for better grades or reattempt TEAS to be more competitive for the next round. I hope this helps! And take care of yourself as well as you do others!
  3. Congrats @Lindsayxo and @BekRod!! I was hoping as well that we can all connect (maybe form study groups?) since we won't likely meet in person for the first six months.
  4. You never know until you know! So I wouldn't sweat it too much right now. And if not, then the next cohort won't be for some time I think, so you'll have time to prepare to retake your TEAS. I hate the "hurry up and wait" too!
  5. Thank you so much! Best of luck to you!!
  6. I just heard from my enrollment counselor today for the April cohort and I got in! So calls should be coming in today or tomorrow. Good luck all! I forgot to ask about hospital placement, but seeing as last month's cohort is Huntington (which I am hoping for), do you guys think it will probably be elsewhere?
  7. Hello All! Wondering if anyone else has heard back for the LA April cohort? I would love to connect with all of you before we get started!!

  9. Hello All! I just received a phone call today to interview Feb 7th! It rather caught me off guard as I was expecting an email. Good luck to everyone!!
