Just wondering... what area did you work in... I am traveling there this week with Cross Country and another manager from a different hospital told me that I'd end up being floated all over the hospital, but the manager at Eastern said that I will only be floated to Peds... I read that many of the travelers break their contract because of all the floating...

There is an oil boom in the Dakotas... As for the lot rent...It is in a very small town, 20 minutes south of Williston. So that's why the low price.... Some lots in south (snowbird area) Texas are $250/month. I got the job and I'm leaving July 18th, starting around 25th or 26th... I can't wait for small town America!!!! Here's a pic of our Rig....

We had travelled for 2 1/2 years around CA and FL in our 34' Holiday Rambler, towing our Saturn SC2(best tow, IMO). We lovedit. Settled to work in Miami for last three years, but politics became too much for me and we are going North for the summer to be closer to family in Canada. Can't wait to leave...... Probably gonna use a local ND company to work L&D in a crisis situation in Williston, ND. Pay is good, but I have to pay $1000 in gas to get there. $250/month RV lot rent so it's worth it. We'll see.... I'll keep you posted...

Who is the other company... Maybe they are a small company and just starting out, which isn't nec. a bad thing... If one of two people have a bad experience, then don't listen. If it's all over the internet, then definitely listen. Check out http://www.ripoff.com for complaints. Best to choose a large well known company for your first time, though. IMHO (In my honest opinion)....

I agree that permanent positions are looking better.... Travel companies need to improve their pay and share the wealth...

I worked with Dijana (pronounced Deana) in 1994 and then again 2006-2009 and had great experiences with her both times. Things have changed in the past 20 years... Hospitals expect you to be nearly perfect and very flexible... Love CCTC and ready to try them again!!!!

Actually, I work at Sutter (Memorial) and it is a great hospital. The nurses seem happy and I'm somewhat objective because I'm a travel nurse in the L&D department... Also, to Tim, were you staying at 2 rivers RV park with us? Teresa Hoover
