  1. GOT AN EMAIL! but I'm confused...I have been "conditionally selected." Does that mean I'm an alternate? I filled out the response card and checked "accept offer of admission".
  2. I'm just annoyed and frustrated- if they are going to wait until after the spring semester to send out acceptances, they should include spring class grades.
  3. They told me 3-4 weeks! my info session was yesterday too
  4. How far do you live from each school and the hospitals they go to? If it's a big difference, I'd go with the shorter drive. My info session is tomorrow and I'm so excited!! Was the math quiz hard?
  5. Fall sections have come out- this is what's listed for the first Nursing class: Nur 111-0002 8 credits Classroom: Monday Thursday 8-9:50am Lab: Monday 10-12:30, 1-430 Clinical: Wednesday 7-1130, 12-130 cape fear Nur 111-0001 8 credits Classroom: Monday, Thursday 8-9:50 Lab: Thursday 10-12:30, 1-430 Clinical: Tuesday 7am-1130, 12-1:30 cape fear
  6. How did it go???? What was it like?
  7. I would buy a study guide book- a couple of them come with online practice tests- score them to see where your weaknesses are and then read up on those topics. I felt like the actual teas test was easier than the practice tests I took.
  8. Be sure to post and let us know how it goes! :)
  9. I think so, I'm going to probably dress as if it were an interview- slacks, dressy/conservative blouse
  10. I got my info session email! My appointment is on April 26th!
  11. The nclex pass rate is in the mid-high 90s- which sounds like a good program to me! Fay state's nursing program was suspended just a couple years ago for not adequately preparing students...while fay tech's program is 3 times as large.
  12. Me too- I check multiple times a day!
  13. Thanks so much for the info!
  14. Wow down to 34 students! What is the schedule like? Do you have clinical the very first semester?
  15. I don't know when it's coming, but they will email us a date and time for it.
  16. They should just look at the math score on the teas test! Skip the extra assessment all together
  17. Seriously! they should stream-line the process a little, especially considering they don't count spring semester grades anyway.
  18. I have 52 points. My friend is applied to the LPN program and had to file an appeal as well. They didn't count one if her transfer credits as a prerequisite. So she's waiting on that too.
  19. I received my HARF email today! I thought it would have the info session/math assessment date included but it doesn't. Anyone know how long until the next email it sent out?
  20. What about working for nurse information hotlines or as a nurse for health insurance companies?
  21. My school does require CNA as a pre-requisite to both the LPN and RN programs :)
  22. I applied too! :) I went to the information session in September and asked what the average points or estimated point totals needed were and was just told that it's a huge change from year to year and depends on the applicant pool. Also, the additional points sheet has already changed slightly from when I looked a few months ago. The main thing I took from the info session was that last year there were 100 slots for the RN program and only 115 qualified applicants. I'm currently taking my last 2 classes, ENG 114 and BIO 169, got an 83 on my TEAS, and have an "A" in the other 4 "for-points" classes. I have my CNA cert but haven't worked as one. So I guess you two ladies have more points than I do. I'm Jackie tommila if you'd both like to add me on fb
  23. Happy for you! What school are you going to now? Jessi, I looked you up but there were like 20 witht the same name and I couldn't tell whice one was you lol
  24. I am too!! Just submitted my application :)
