Well sorta...I just recently passed my boards after a year! I guess my question is have any of you after getting your license, started on a tele floor? And will I have difficulty adjusting to this floor considering I've been out for a year? During nursing school, I did really well on cardiac, and I did my preceptorship on a telemetry step down unit...The unit i applied for is not a tele floor, but they called it a cardiac interventional unit?!?!

    Thanks everyone for your help!
  3. When dealing with a person who had OCD and is doing his/her rituals, do you interupt them? or let them continue? In clinicals, they taught us to kinda distract them or limit them. But on some of the questions I'm practicing tell me to let them continue! What's the right way? Can someone help me out here? thank you
  4. I took the NCLEx this morning...The computer stopped at 97! Such an odd number! I'm really worried though, a lot of people on this forum pass with 75, 105, 120, 265...But 97?!?! Wish me luck everyone! My last question asked me what was the most important directions to give a client with a diagnosis of X? (I dont think im aloud to post questions...) but after that it shut off! the last 6 or 7 questions before that had priority and immedietly in big bold letters! So i hope thats a good sign...Well, time to wait!
  5. Ok, So I recently sent in my $75 reapplication fee, and usually I'll get a big packet on how to sign up to retake the NCLEx again! But this time I didn't! So I called the BRN, theguy that i talked to said that the paperwork will be sent out in a couple weeks! He also said that I was able to take the test after 45 days! I thought that in CA, you had to wait 91 days! Did this change recently? Or am I the only one that doesnt know about this?
  6. I also failed the NCLEX with 265 questions TWICE! I know how you feel man...Good luck on your next test! I'm in San Diego too, and next time I might go to Anaheim to take my test. I don't want to take it again where I failed...
  7. How would you guys answer disaster questions? Would you go to the person who is life threatening? Or the person who has a chance to survive? I took Kaplan and they said "the greater good for the greater number of people" so that would mean I should choose the survival person right? I know that in a clinical situation u go with the life threatening, but im just confused with this one. Plus, does disater drill count in this situation?
  8. FAILED! I feel like crap right now! This was the second time too! The first time was at 75 questions, and now at 265! I guess the only good thing that came out of it is that I am near the passing standard on most of the content areas! I took Kaplan, and they had high passing rates! Are there any other programs out there that I can use? I think I am done with Kaplan, I took the practice tests too many times!
  9. My friend finished about 45-60 minutes before me...I just thought it was a priority question cause these machines were hooked up to patients, and could cause life threatening complications. But anyways, good luck to all those who are waiting! Let everyone know if they find out anything...
  10. My test center was pretty busy, everytime some finished, the seat was immedietly taken. My friend from school and I took it at the same time. He found out already. Out of everyone in my class that took the exam, 10 out of 12 of them found out through the website in 4 days exactly. The other one found out in 10 days, and of course I am still waiting! I just don't understand what is going on? I took the test in July and got failing results. So I know for sure the BRN has all my paperwork. Oh yeah, one more thing... Are questions about malfunctioning machines considered priority?
  11. Hi...I have also been waiting! It has been 1 week and 3 days for me! I know it doesn't matter, but how many questions did you get? Well, I hope we both pass, good luck!
  12. The first time I took the NCLEx, I got a letter 2 weeks later saying I failed. Do you think I still need to call them to make sure if anything is missing? If they sent me a failing letter the first time, I would assume that my file is complete. BTW, it's day 5 and still no results!
  13. Congrats! I'm still waiting on my results...You didn't find out through any website or anything?
  14. My state (California) does not participate in the quick results. Has anyone on here, found out that they passed by mail? instead of finding out on the BRN website?
  15. Ok, so my friend that I took the NCLEx with ended at 200 and I ended at 265. We both took it the same time, same place, and same day. His name showed up on the BRN website, and mine didn't! Is that a bad sign?
  16. Hi everyone, I just got home from taking the NLCEx. The first time I got a 75 and failed. This time I answered 265 questions! I went with my friend and he stopped at 200. Well, from what I remembered from my test, I had a lot of priority and teaching. I didn't have any dosage calculations, and only 2 select all the apply questions. I listened to everyone from this forums advice. I took my time, and when break time came I used it, TWICE! Thanks everyone for your support, wish me luck! Now it's time to WAIT!
  17. Thanks everybody for your support! I will for sure let everyone know my results.
  18. Hi Everyone, I took my NCLEx 3 months ago. The computer shut off at 75, all my classmates told me that I passed. I had a lot of priority questions and best response questions. Well, i found out that I failed it. I really thought I passed too! But that was 3 months ago, and now I am retaking it in a couple of days. I took the Kaplan review and scored above borderline, barely breaking into passing range. This time I hope to pass, does anyone know of anyone who failed at 75? or am I the only one...
