what do you say to friends who want to copy
She copied your work and could have gotten you kicked out of class or even college for plagiarism. She cared about herself and did not care about the consequences of copying your paper. I'd not feel sorry for her at all, but feel mad that she is a torpid person wanting to copy your paper. I'd not keep a person as a friend who's as impassive as that person. Good Luck

prerequisites for nursing
Prerequisite for nursing school is confusing when you plan on applying for nursing school at more than college. Recently, I looked at nursing program at a few different colleges and requirements are different. One college's prerequisites doesn't require a nutrition class but requires college algebra. My last college's prerequisites requirements is nutrition and a critical thinking math. Assuming that taking a harder classes is best. At my college that I transfer from in spring wouldn't allow me to take Anatomy 2121 with nutrition or take Anatomy 2112 with microbiology so by the time I took one class a semester, I'd spend another 2 years finishing prerequisite classes. hoping new college allows these classes to be taken together. Yes, I know above classes are extremely hard but must get classes finished and get into the fun stuff, nursing. Has anyone else had this same problem at their college/university?

How much free time do you have while in school?
Taking Biology, math, and nutrition during the summer is difficult for me. The online nutrition is the hardest of all the classes and it is only a 2 credit class so can't use credits as a determiner whether or not the class is easy or hard. Online classes are always hard because they know people use their books and make test more difficult. I agree with everything that people says in previous text about it depends on the person. Good Luck!

Follow my heart or follow fear
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement and feed back from everyone. It's helpful and gives me a different way of thinking about sorting out priorities. Again, thanks.

Failed, nclex rn 5 times! Help?!?!
[starting to feel really discouraged! Has anyone taken their NCLEX-RN recently that FAILED 5 TIMES LIKE ME? Or, am I the only one?! Thought you were only allowed two or three attempts and then must wait a year before retaking NCLEX. In Georgia, You're allowed limited attempts and can't retake for a year.

Follow my heart or follow fear
First let me explain my situation so all this makes sense. I currently live with my parents who nag me about going to college. They want me to take Venipuncture and get out of school which doesn't make me happy so I My heart says do the RN program and get done with schooling and my fear says do LPN because it's a shorter program that lasts only 18 months vs Rn program that lasts for 3 years because of prerequisites. I'll be close to 46 years old when I graduate from RN program so telling myself to just do LPN for now. Here is a random question about the nursing program. The first two years of the ASN program is the LPN part of the program...so does LPN required more clinical than ASN program... ASN duties are much different from LPN's duties. I need to work hard and follow my heart because there are no real short-cuts in quickly getting through nursing school.what is your advise? Please only positive feed back.

Does Prerequisite classes follow you?
I dropped the Anatomy class both times and received "w" on both classes. which still counts toward two attempts, correct? Thanks for the great feed back.

Does Prerequisite classes follow you?
I attended a community college where I took Anatomy 2121 twice and did not finished the class before transferring to a technical college. Will it show on my transcript I fail anatomy? When I signed into my banner web at my new school, I do not see anatomy on my transcript, only classes passed were transferred. I am asking your opinion because I still want do the ASN program but afraid failing anatomy will hindered me from getting into the RN program. If so, I'll do the LPN program and hopes of building credits to get into Rn program. I rather take ASN so I don't have to take the Tess V and NCLEX for the LPN program and then take HESI for RN program and pass the Nclex again. I know this sounds weird but it's how they got the nursing programs set up here. In addition to all that was said, the biggest concern is not getting into nursing because of Anatomy. Working two jobs and dealing with classes were too much for me and hoping for a new start at a different college. What do you think? Only positive thoughts please.

What's your back up plan's if you are not accepted into nursing program?
I am stressed as well. the staff at my current nurse's aid job are hard to deal and finding unnecessary reasons to fire people. My plans is to go into Phlebotomy and I've changed my mind because afraid I'll waste 8 months, 2 semesters, getting the certificate in Phlebotomy and never finding a job. It's competitive since it's a low ranking job in medical field. The sign-up for fall classes just opened last week and all phlebotomy classes are full. I'm looking for a new job at a different place and continue working on prerequisites class for nursing program. Now, I must decide which program to do, LPN or ASN.
