  1. You know what? I already asked my professor why do we have to undergo or study history. Basically, the reason is its part of the curriculum of the department of education that is followed by your school. :)
  2. [color= teal] hi, i need some help around here... as a newly graduate i have the feeling that i really need to work and put my ksa to application and serve already. so i hurriedly looked for a hospital that i think that could help me broaden my ksa regarding my profession. i found a certain hospital in which i applied. i passed the requirements dated august 16, 2005 then they told me that they will just call me for the schedule of my interview, i've waited for 2 weeks but they didn't called me so i followed it up. then they told me that i should come at the hrd august 31, 2005 for my examination. when i went their it seems that they misplaced my papers. to make the story short i was able to finish their requirments before undergoing the training then i've waited for a month for the schedule of my training dated november 7, 2005. i was very anxious and excited to start my training but then i was shocked because when i went there we have this 10days classroom discussion regarding nursing process, how to admit how to discharge, something that i've taken at school when i was in 2nd year college. they even give us 100 item quizzes after the discussion and take note we have grading system that will tell if they will hire us for probationary or not. i know it seems like a review but then other issues came up, such as when you are applying for special areas(er, dr, icu, or etc) it depends to the area manager if she/he wanted to let the trainees expose to the area and that after a month of training you will wait again for their call if you will be absorbed as their probationary if there is a vacant slot for the area you wanted. but they didn't explain it to us. they told us that if you undergo a month of training we will be immeditely hired as probationary. i'm just really disappointed because they gave me a false belief then suddenly they will tell me that its part of the process? is this really difficult to apply? does the hospital give you certain informations that really doesn't apply to their institution? its really traumatic and i need some advice especially that i'm just starting to make my 1st experience memorable but not traumatic. i already stopped my training because i know that there will be no sense if i will continue and i already have the feeling that i'm not for that hospital. i am planning to apply in the hospital that i had my exposure when i was in college can you please help me on what to expect especially that i will be working as a licensed nurse not a student nurse anymore. sometimes i have the feeling of being nervous, and i have a lot of what if's? please help me.... i will really appreciate it a lot. thank you very much....
  3. Hi! I'm a newly graduate and recently I've passed the local board. I'm having difficulty with applying. Most of my professors told me to stay here for awhile gain experience then if I think i'm ready to go abroad then atleast I already gained the experience that I need. But my problem is my parents and my relatives pushes me to go and apply. It's really hard because this is my first time to apply and for me this is a new phase in my life that I have to decide wisely because this concerns my future and my entire life. Those who are working abroad I really need your ideas. What should I do? please help... Thanks....
  4. Hi! well I just want to share to you some of my techniques when I'm studying Anatomy and Physiology. 1.) Before you study give yourself a rest. Take a nap, that means 20 minutes only. But if you exceeded just continue to sleep. A rested mind and body is good for studying. 2.) While studying have something to chew. Like chips or cookies but be sure that you concentrate more in your lesson than finishing your food. Chewing helps you to remember and absorb faster what you are reading. 3.) make Mnemonics for you to remember your lesson. For example.... O-hhh O-hhh O-hhh T-o T-ouch A-nd F-eel A G-irls V-ag*** A-hhh H-eaven There you have the 12 cranial nerves! 4.) In between studying pamper yourself with a rest or break time. 5.) Don't you know that reading an article or your lesson for 7-10 times helps you to remember most of what you read.... 6.) Have fun studying! don't pressure yourself... 7.) The best time to read is before going to sleep. Why? because the brain registers mostly all of you have read and studied before you slept. Our brain is like the computer! well I hope that could help you... For this techniques surely helped me when I was still in college... God bless in your exams...
