I love that we have so many choices in nursing! I am interested in NICU. I currently work as a nurse extern in the NICU. I honestly look forward to every shift.
I went back to school after 20 years. I also had to fulfill a college algebra requirement. I bought a clep algebra test prep book, studied for three weeks, and passed the clep exam. It saved me time and hundreds of dollars. It can be done, even if you haven't looked at the material in a long time. Good luck.
Calculations isn't required. At least it wasn't for us. It was optional. I found the first dosage calculations test to be extremely easy. It will help if you can take physical assessment over the summer. I wished we had the option of taking summer classes, but they didn't give us the choice. Congrats on getting in!
