  1. Lets hope for the best and hopefully you will receive a reply back from DCA and they will bump you ahead of some people
  2. I have heard that if its been more than 6 week since the check is cashed to email the DCA directly and complaint about it. Some friends told me that they received their licenses within a day or so.
  3. Hello Everyone! I saw all the comments and just wanted to say that it usually take them about 4 to 5 weeks from the date you check is cashed to receive your permanent license. I also had paid for a temp license but never received it. Not sure if they are making a better effort to send those out. If you want to speak with someone at the board I suggest you do it early in the morning. I was able to reach them that way :)
  4. Has your check cleared? I called the BON and they were very nice at the advanced NP department and once I told her my dilemna she was willing to help. If you still do not have it I suggest you call them.
  5. Hey CocoaLoverFNP, I studied Leiks book back and front and supplemented with Holliers book and her 1500 question book. I did all the questions that were in Leiks as well as Holliers and felt that those questions gave me the tools to do well on the test. I would go back and read the rationales of the questions even if I go the questions right as it helped. The test questions are also straight forward and you have everything you need in the question to help you answer it. It is not like NCLEX where you have to think outside the box. Most of the question you can read the question and take 2 answer and mark them as wrong. My advice is when you get the initial time to see how to navigate the test and even if you get done quicker than that take the remaining time to write down synonyms for the CN's and the murmurs, and other important information. This really helps when you get those questions. Do not skip the time. Also if you do not know the answer to a question mark it and move on, but always mark an answer on it just incase you do not have time to go back. I believe I finished test in less than 2 hours and you have 3 hours to take it. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me on the email address mentioned above as for some reason allnurses will not let me private message yet due to 15 message rule or something like that. I wish you all the best!!!
