If you could recommend changes, what would you suggest?
I'd be likely dead if not for mandatory AA. I am a true alcoholic/addict . I would not have made it through this program this far without AA. Not would I have ever gone to AA / NA without PNAP mandating it in my contract.

Feeling like giving up right now
I found out I definitely AM an alcoholic and I've been very thankful for the fellowship of AA so I could identify and get better . I'm very grateful to God I've been sober 15+ months. So to have a positive Test turn up was very unnerving. I ultimately gave the situation to God because obsessing about it was driving me to lose all serenity and I should know better. They pulled me for a PEth yesterday so maybe that will calm their minds about whatever they think I've been doing. If it's not God's will for me to go back to nursing then it's not. I'll be sober and alright either way.

Feeling like giving up right now
I absolutely have not intentionally ingested anything like a drink. But the Dijon mustard I bought when my brain was in diet mode wasn't thinking about what was in it other than it was low calorie. When I tested positive I blamed the ecig because that was the only thing I could imagine I had done differently and Google turned up info on it. Then I went through my fridge to check everything for future risk and saw white wine on the Dijon label. Blah I'm so paranoid now

I'm so freaked out about hidden alcohol
I'm very paranoid now. But also I got lazy with being careful . now I want to not risk it.

I'm so freaked out about hidden alcohol
How can I tell 100% for sure what products will cause positive etg. I want a list of what to avoid.

Feeling like giving up right now
Turns out I wasn't being as careful as I thought I was. And bottom line is that I'm contractually obligated to know what I'm consuming. I had Dijon mustard in my fridge and I had that twice this week . I could kick myself right now !!!! Ugh

Ecig causes false positive
This really has me freaked out. I thought I was being careful and I'm not. I found other things in our fridge I shouldn't be consuming. I could kick myself.

The scary thing is that alcohol isn't even listed on the package. I had to research it all after the positive screen. Be aware people. Incidental exposure is a real danger

Ecig causes false positive
I'm sorry etg. But I found out it's not the PG that causes the etg positive that there is actual alcohol for flavoring in those things.

I'm very discouraged I tried to quit smoking using a BLU e cigarette. And my urine tested positive for alcohol. I have never had a positive screen in 1 1/2 years on PNAP and now this. I always check food labels, but I failed to even consider the cigarette might have alcohol in it. I asked them to take blood or hair sample ...something to clear this up but technically I violated my contract by Not checking the label of something I put in my body and it had hidden alcohol in it. I really don't know what's to come of this .

Ecig causes false positive
Any ecig or vape containing propylene glycol causes positive urine for alcohol . just happened to me!!!! I had no idea. I'm always careful with what I eat and things. Never expected this when I bought one.

Drug urine test after 12 hour shift
My best advice is first to be honest with yourself if you are using. Get in the program and get well. It saved my life. I fought being honest at first and it cost my license when if I'd just been honest I could have gotten the help I needed sooner and also probably have been back to work by now. They knew the truth, tests don't lie and you will lose your license if you don't . it's very hard to fight for it after you've lost it (trust me) .

Grrrrr, just one of those days (rant)
When I first began monitoring , I had a huge resentment. The money, the perceived "loss of freedom" etc .. Now at 15 months clean and sober I am forever thankful for monitoring . I went from not realizing that I am an alcoholic to living happy , joyous and free. I'm grateful for the 3 year monitoring period. Not everyone I see trying to get clean and sober on their own have the luxury of monitoring. Yes consequences and accountability are luxuries when I have seen so many fail without them. Stay well and stay grateful my friend.
