  1. You will probably start with Care of the Older Adult. After that ,talk to your student mentor about your goals and they will advise you. Good luck to you. It's really a great program.
  2. I had a similar problem with transcripts, but finally after lots of time and frustration, I got it resolved. Please don't give up, after the initial issues, I've had no problems and absolutely love WGU.
  3. Hi, I started june 1 and have finished 31 credits. My mentor also told me at the beginning that it would be almost impossible to finish in 1 term but after I completed several classes, she has been very encouraging. I really don't think they discourage you to get more money. I think it is more so that you don't set yourself up for disappointment. I'm a member of a Facebook group where several members have completed in one term. However, most do take longer. I would say about 2 terms is average, but I have seen some take as long as 5.It truly is individual depending on what knowledge you have coming in and how much time you have to devote to school. The classes aren't extremely hard, but they are challenging and make you work for a pass.
  4. I also had some issues with transcripts. (The details are in a previous post.long story). So, I understand your frustration. But, with a few emails and a lot of patience, things were eventually straightened out. When I did receive the evaluation, I was very pleased. WGU was very generous. Since then the enrollment process has been very smooth and I'm ready to start June 1. Hoping for a timely resolution for you.
  5. Thank you so much for your offer of assistance. I received my evaluation yesterday morning and am very pleased with the results. I'm still not sure what the delay was, but these things happen. I'm just so excited to be one step closer.
  6. Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with transcripts. I had mine sent to WGU over 5 weeks ago. I received an email stating they had been received. So, I waited , not so patiently, (I'm eager to get started) to get back an eval. I didn't hear anything until I spoke to my enrollment counselor 2 weeks later. She then tells me that the transcripts do not include a degree completion date for my AAS ,therefore they could not be evaluated. So, I take a day off work and drive over an hour to the college that I had attended and have them send another transcript, making sure they include a graduation date. They were sent electronically and I notified my enrollment counsellor that they had been sent. A week later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I email my enrollment counsellor to verify that they had been received. She says that they had been and I should be hearing something anytime. That was almost 3 weeks ago and still nothing. I'm just getting a little frustrated and just wondering if anyone else had these issues and if so how did things turn out.
