  1. Thank you for posting your experience leadim76!
  2. What would you say is the NCLEX pass rate for their Accel program?
  3. Thank you for replying and your honest opinion! I appreciate that. We have an Accelerated program near where I live and it is 14 months. A little cheaper, but not much. It just requires a lot of travel. I work at a hospital where a lot of people have done that program and have gone on to be NPs. I am enrolled currently in the May 2016 cohort at UWOSH. I guess I will see what the future brings.
  4. I was curious what made the program not good for you? Are you located in Wisconsin or somewhere else? I have heard from people in Wisconsin the program is great, but from some people outside Wisconsin it wasn't as great. Also, it is very expensive, but you are paying for time essentially I guess. It takes one year to get what you would need three years to do otherwise. But is there something that was bad about the program that made it not worth the money at all?
  5. You do have to take the CNA class and get a CNA license. I work as a patient liaison in the ER and I am a Birth Assistant for a Nurse Midwife. I have not worked in an actual CNA titled position. I am pretty sure some of the others on here had other medical experience, but not CNA specifically.
  6. Congrats BaiseyB and Snwbal!!! I agree we should set up a private facebook group for open communication!
  7. JerBear, I think that means if they are not able to find clinical sites for those accepted or if someone decides not to accept the offer then they take people from the waitlist.
  8. Congrats Grenledgal!!!!! Great news! Snwbal I got my email a 8:19am. I am sure the send them out in waves, so I am crossing my fingers for you!
  9. It says my offer is contingent on finding clinical sites for me. I am not sure if they say that to everyone or if it is because I am from Wyoming and they haven't had a lot of experience with clinical sites here. Either way....at least I got an offer!
  10. I got the email.....I was accepted!
  11. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Back to the real world today for me!
  12. Way to keep the hope alive snwbal! Haha!
  13. Yeah I wouldn't plan on anything until next week. It says on their calendar that the University is closed Nov 25 and reopens Nov 30. Based on last year's May cohort, I am saying the end of next week. I just hope it is by then because I am really tired of waiting.
  14. I am still slightly hopeful it will happen today, but the realist in me says next week. :) My prediction is the morning of December 4th. :)
  15. I suspect if we don't hear anything tomorrow then it will be sometime next week. I think their Thanksgiving break starts Wednesday. :)
