Hello all, I see many of you have been applying or re-applying to EMU's program so I thought I'd share a couple pieces of info. (By the way I am no longer a student at EMU. I'm now in a nursing program at another university, as I was rejected from EMU's program twice, but I attended EMU for 2 years and have no bad regards towards the school. I loved my time there.) The points cutoff is usually around 435. Both times around I missed the cutoff by 5 points or less. I STRONGLY encourage you to get the 6 months paid healthcare experience, as those points could be the difference between making it in and not making it in. In my case, having the healthcare experience would've gotten me in both times. Other than that, retake any classes that you have less than a B in. Another word of advice I have is to never give up no matter how many times you get denied. If you have a passion for healthcare, stick with it. It also doesn't hurt to explore programs at other universities and see what they have to offer if you are struggling to get accepted into the EMU program. Like they say, sometimes it's best to not put all your eggs in one basket. Other than that, I wish you all the best and good luck to you all!
