I applied for Fall.

I received an email offering me a spot for Fall at 3:52 pm but I've accepted an offer from another program soooo that's going to open up a spot for someone else :) Good luck to all of you!

@Jensfro I don't mind you asking at all :) I've been accepted to UCLA for their MECN program. Where were you accepted?

@tcl2016 I retook an English 101 course that I had a C in, completed my Care Extender internship, completely rewrote my statement (that I rushed last time) and I also replaced one of my letters of recommendation. I think the letter of rec and grade replacement were the most important changes I made. None of my letters were from an RN or NP...I asked my former employer, one of my undergrad professors I know well and the head of one of my volunteering sites. The previous year I asked an NP I shadowed and it resulted in a weak letter that was about as long as this message...and I only found this out AFTER trying to figure out what I needed to do to make myself a stronger applicant for the next cycle. As frustrating as it can be, everything happens for a reason. I hope this helps! :) @Jackeeee As for the program suspension...I personally would have backup schools to apply to for this next cycle. No one knows what's going on with the program...but we should remain hopeful :) who knows...maybe they're going to make it like CSULA's

Hi @Ajimka, I read on past threads of people emailing and asking how many they've currently accepted off the waitlist so you might want to try that. If you're still waiting for a decision on your application from the nursing dept you could inquire about that as well. My graduate portal decision status took awhile to update...I think over a week after RF confirmed I was accepted. If they tell you what number they're at on the waitlist I'm sure the others would love for you to post with that info :) We currently have 33 in our FB group just in case anyone was wondering. I don't think that they would discontinue the program midway through for their 2016 cohorts but I also wonder what cuts they'll be making to the program. The graduation fundraiser page by this last cohort really has me curious about what's going on with the program's funding.

I even messaged one of the current students and they didn't know why it was being suspended. The future suspension is a little disheartening...I've already confirmed my spot in another program (thank you @tcl2016) but after being waitlisted by CSUN this past year I'm still following this thread and awaiting this year's decision.

I had to call admissions and they told me about my "acceptance" to the university before my portal was updated. This was about 2 weeks ago. They've since updated my portal and I'm just waiting on the nursing dept. The suspension of their ABSN for the 2017 application period does have me a little weirded out and makes me even more thankful I've received an acceptance from another university.

@Luv4God I had to wait a day before the forms showed up in my portal. I bet they'll be there in the next day or so :)

I got the same email and then she responded a little while later. Hang in there!

Ok you guys...so I emailed RF asking about my status since I haven't heard anything and she said "You were admitted into the MECN Program. Hopefully, you will receive an email from Graduate Division within the next 2 weeks. I plan to send an email by Friday." So I'm in but my grad app status still hasn't been updated, which means that there may be other acceptances going out!!!! Keep hanging in there!

Hopefully we hear something soon!! This wait is brutal...although, I am thankful decisions are going out earlier than I expected.

As for the people notified about the waitlist, were you given a specific number or is it just random?

I still haven't heard anything via email or grad app status. Am I the only one? I'm getting pretty anxious over here reading everyone's updates. Congrats to everyone who's been accepted or waitlisted!!! :)

Thanks!!! :) In my email it says I have until May 7th to confirm and that it'll make me an alternate for both summer and fall cohorts. They didn't specify one over the other.

I called and asked specifically about that and they said no more acceptances, the best hope is the alternate list. Which, don't forget, is a random pool that leaves those on it wondering until August. -__- Oh...and I still haven't heard anything.

Congrats to the both of you!! Did they give you a number indicating what spot you are on the list? I still have nothing but it might not be my year.

Soooo what they're saying is we might end the week with nothing...again. I hope we all get in you guys and then we can laugh about this come fall :)

What's rent like in studio city? Especially for a place like yours? If I get in for fall that's what we're looking to get.

Are we all on a secret wait list or something? I really don't understand why there have been acceptances and rejections while so many of us haven't heard a thing.
