I just happened to stumble upon this thread and figured I would offer an idea for those who were not accepted! For anyone who does not want to wait a whole year to try applying again, I would highly recommend applying to other programs whose deadlines have not passed yet, including accelerated BSN programs! I applied to the OSU cohort which began this past summer, and I did not get accepted. I didn't want to wait to try applying for the next cohort, I just wanted to start a program. So I found an ABSN program whose deadline was January 15, got all my materials in within two weeks, and then later found out I got accepted. My program started in May, actually a month before I would've started at OSU, and now I'm already halfway through my BSN. Once I graduate in August, I'm going to apply to traditional masters programs that I can complete while working full time. This route may not be for everyone, but for someone like me who was eager to get school started, it has been great. I'll be able to start working as an RN during what would have originally only been the start of my second semester of school had I reapplied and gotten accepted on my second attempt at OSU! Just my two cents :-)

I'm not a psych NP by any means, I'm actually still in nursing school. But anyway, since many people with mental illness often have physical problems also, wouldn't it be important to be able to assess for physical problems as well? Though, I suppose it also depends on your intended practice setting and whether you are doing inpatient or outpatient.

Hey Dedancer454, I ended up not going to Villanova but I did get accepted for the program that started in May this year. I think my GPA was around a 3.6 when I applied. I did have an interview, I'm not aware of anyone who was accepted without an interview.

I'm not sure, jonas23x. I do know that the deadline for people to accept or turn down their offer is March 17, so you may hear something after that. Good luck!! I hope you receive good news soon!!

That would be amazing, but for some reason I don't think I can get nearly as much because I'm National Guard and was never active duty

haileyfl I was also wondering if the admit reply form was enough or if we need to send an email to accept as well. I also didn't get an email about scholarships so I am a little bummed about that! I'm hoping to be able to use some military benefits to at least put a dent in the cost, though. I think I'm going to search online for scholarships, as well.

I hope so, but honestly I'm not sure. I've read through some past threads that make it sound like they send letters through snail mail. But some have also said that they've received a phone call. So I have no idea!! I'm just ready to know already!!

For anyone who had an interview this week--how did it go??

So 57 interviews next week and 15 Skype interviews puts us at 72 so far. Anyone know how many people were signed up to interview for this past week? I'm just curious to know how many were interviewed so we all know what our chances are!

At JU there is only one cohort and that's in May. UNF has two, one in May and one in August.

I know at least 15 people were signed up for Skype interviews. I am also wondering what the breakdown is for how they decide to accept people! JU is also the only place I applied for the summer, and I will apply for UNF for fall if I don't get in.

Does that include the fees too or is that strictly tuition? I knew JU would be expensive but that really is quite a steep price tag. I am going to do some research and look for additional scholarship opportunities.

Ohh ok. Is there any chance you could send it to me or type out what the breakdown is? I live out of state so my interview was over Skype/the phone.

smsingleton13, did you check your junk email? My first emails I had gotten from JU went to my junk email until I marked for them to go to my inbox.

No I didn't get the fee breakdown. Where did you get it?

How did your interview go? I also have a 3.6 with JU as my first choice!
