They split us up into groups of about 4 or 5 and we all sat on one side of the table while three interviewers sat across from us. In front of each of us were cards. We were given a set amount of time to read and answer the questions on the cards. When it was our turn we would read the card aloud and answer. No one had the same question but you might have an additional or follow up question dealing with the question or scenario of the person ahead of you.

Let me know if you get into PCC! We have a second year mentoring program for the new students so I'll definitely keep an eye out for you! My biggest piece of advice is to try and relax (I know how hard that is!) and try to use as many personal experiences that are relevant and pertinent as possible. Good luck! I got in to PCC and CCC and I got waitlisted for OHSU. I'm currently in my third term at PCC and I love it! To be honest, the whole process at OHSU was extremely nerve wracking. The group interview dynamic was extremely difficult for me, especially since it was my first one (the one at CCC went much smoother and PCC did not include that in their application process). It was a lot of questions based on community outreach and healthcare disparities and populations in the community that are vulnerable (such as homeless). That's what OHSU is all about - think the same thing when it comes to your essay question. Margaret

I got mine yesterday as well - thank goodness my friend who also got an email told me to check my spam folder! I signed up for a slot on 4/15. Good luck to everyone!

That's the slot I've RSVPed for as well! One of my other friends was thinking they told you the essay prompts before hand but I don't think that's the case. At least I didn't receive anything in my email.

I also just got my email. My slot is on 4/14. So excited and nervous! Does anyone have any tips on preparing to the proctered essay?

I applied at CCC as well and haven't heard anything yet, however I would be checking your email daily. I would assume sometime soon within the next few weeks. Most programs are contacting by end of March beginning of April.

Hello all, I recently received an email to interview with OHSU School of Nursing BSN program class of 2018. Is there anyone out there who can give some insight into the group interview and proctored essay process at OHSU. My interview is on 4/9 - anyone else going to be there? Also, I feel pretty great that I've been invited to interview, but worried about my odds of getting in. Any advice would be so much appreciated! I've also applied to PCC, CCC, and Mt Hood but haven't heard back from any of them yet. I'm so excited that all my hardwork completing pre-reqs will hopefully soon be paying off! Margaret

Hello all! I've been taking all my pre-reqs at PCC Rock Creek and Sylvania campus. I applied for upcoming fall term at PCC, CCC, Mt Hood, and OHSU. I just received an email from OHSU on 3/17 inviting me to interview for their school of nursing BSN program class of 2018. Of course I'm nervous, nauseous, and all around freaked out! My interview is 4/9. Is there anyone else who will attending? I'm in group 2A. I'm anxiously awaiting news back from the other community colleges as well - from this thread I've gathered they usually send out responses in April? Is there anyone out there who can give some insight into the interview and proctored essay process with OSHU? Good luck to all!
