  2. BodyWorlds Exhibit = 10/10 A+ If you're going to see it see it soon. I believe it's only going to be out there until September (can't remember the exact day). My gf and I spent hours looking through all the exhibits. Simply amazing what this guy can do with plastination. http://www.bodyworlds.com
  3. lzy, My nursing instructor actually recommended that I use the RN study books for the PN exams. She seemed to think that it would better prepare me for the PN boards. So I think what you're studying is just fine. Just make sure you skip past the questions regarding blood products and IV pushes. As far as test anixety goes; Lexapro could take another 2-3 weeks before being effective. Why not see if your doctor can prescribe you a beta-blocker like inderal. I was prescribed this once for stage fright. It is more of a 'PRN anxiety type medication' other than it's primary role for the heart/HTN.
  4. Thanks everyone! It's very nice of you all to congratulate me with such entusiasm. I'm very proud to be a nurse. This is my first real career move. I messed around for awhile after highschool with dead-end jobs(I'm now 27). But 5 years ago I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I have since been working full time and going to school taking 1-2 classes per semester getting my Gen. Eds/Pre-reqs done. Three years ago I became a CNA and have worked in a long term care center since. I also became a Geriatric Care Specialist a year after becoming a CNA. Now that I have my LPN and am in my second year seeking my associates degree in Registered Nursing, I'll soon be looking forward to a BSN. The sky is the limit -Joe :)
  5. i passedi passed :chuckle :) :balloons: i'm officially an lpn! next step; graduate in may '06 w/ adrn
  6. You mean it's rare if people pass with an 86??!! !~passes out~! :imbar
  7. I had a lot of priority questions. Some pharm, some labs, a couple calculation dosages. There really wasn't one type of question that stuck out above the rest of them so it was generally mixed. The reason I worry is because I hear if it goes beyond 85 questions it's saying you haven't necessarily gotten 50% of the questions right yet, so they're giving you more chances to meet that expectation. Then when it turned off at 86 questions I feel it's probably because I got the 86th question wrong and that was enough to figure I wasn't capable of answering 50% correctly. Now it feels like I'm just rambling. I live in Illinois, so I'll get the news good or bad in 2 days online. Cross your fingers because I need some luck STAT!
  8. Hi everyone, my name is Joe. I'm new to this site. I am in a deep funk right now because I just took the PN boards and I feel like I did completely awful. I know this is the general feeling most people get after taking the boards but I really didn't understand a lot of the questions asked. Here's my question. My test shut off after the 86th question. Which seems strange to me because I think the minimum for PN boards is 85. So if I were to get the minimum amount of questions wouldn't it have shut off at 85 and not 86?? Does anyone know if this is a good sign or a bad one? I've already read through a lot of threads and haven't seen anyone else who had 1 question above the minimum. I'm stressing bad and I feel like I just did horrible. Can anyone give me some information regarding this matter? Thanks in advance. -Joe
