I submitted my application July 30 and am still hoping I’ll earn an interview. Kinda nervous since I haven’t heard anything.

Hi everyone!! For breakfast, I do steel cut oats with a little bit of brown sugar. I make a big batch about 1-2 times a week and in the morning just pop my portion in the microwave. Additionally, I have 3 egg white + 1 egg scrambled, with a little bit of pepper. And a big tablespoon of peanut butter ("good fat"). I top it all off with a 32 oz "green drink" made using my NutriBullet. Usually, it's a lot of dark leafy greens, some veggies, a little bit of fruit, and water. I exercise 5 times a week and make sure my nutrition is on point, too. Nursing school is definitely overwhelming at times but managing proper coping mechanisms, such as my exercise routine, keeps me sane!

I'm a little late to the group, but I wanted to say good luck to everyone starting their first day today! My first day is on September 8th. I'm in between trying to enjoy my last bits of "freedom" and REALLY looking forward to the start of my journey.

Hi @dgRN2bee, thanks for writing! I am almost done with completing all the things that need to done before I start this fall. I can't wait to get in there! Last year, I completed all my prereqs at WCC and took the TEAS test this March. My friends that are in the program have nothing but great things to say about it. I also volunteer at Westchester Medical Center on the weekends and lots of their employees completed the program at WCC as well. Best of luck with applying! Did you take the TEAS yet?

Hi everyone! I started this thread in hopes of getting feedback from past and present students who have completed the WCC ADN program, are in the middle of completing it, or perhaps will be starting in the Fall. What has been your experience so far? What do you like/dislike, etc.? I, myself, will be starting the program this Fall and would love to hear from you. I'm all ears! :) Thanks!!

I don't mean to sound like a Debbie Downwer, but I'm starting to lose hope... I just check Albert again and no changes whatsoever...I don't even see the NYU classes section mentioned above. Not looking good

@mila82, you made my day. I can't wait to hear back. Thank you SO much for the info. I honestly love WCC and would be thrilled to go to nursing school there. Amazing resources and support from top notch professors. The nursing program is stellar, and you can't beat the value. From a financial standpoint, perhaps NYU would make more sense when I pursue my MSN (and eventually DNP). There is more than one way to reach my end goal. Speaking for myself, it's not in my best interest to rack up mounds of debt. Right now, I'm just weighing my options and WCC is looking mighty enticing.

Hi everyone!! First, I'd like to say congratulations to all of those who got accepted! You're on your way!!! Most of the feedback on this thread is news of acceptances; however, last week, I received my rejection letter. I say this not to be a Debbie Downer but to encourage future apprehensive prospects to apply anyway and current prospects in my position to never give up! The answer will always be No if you don't apply, and nobody ever died of rejection. Even if Pace says no (right now), there is more than one way to reach your ultimate goal of being a nurse. So if you're in my boat, chin up and keep pushing! Perspective is everything. Best of luck to everyone!!

Does anyone know the costs of tuition for WCC or know of where to look to find out?

Oh, and I agree with future RN646. I LOVE Dr. Casella. Dr. Cook is amazing, too. Micro was definitely my favorite class!

Hi guys! I have a friend, currently in the program, who got in with low 70s. I believe acceptance is relative to other scores within that cycle. I took the test in March and scored a 91. Since I have a bachelors in another field, I was trying to go the accelerated bachelors in nursing route. I applied to Pace and to my dream school, NYU. I call NYU my unicorn (hence my name) bc I feel like getting in would be a miracle. My undergraduate GPA was terrible, although I graduated 10 years ago. After a while out of school, I went back and got a 4.0 in all of my prerequisites. Pace turned me down, and I am still waiting to hear back from NYU. I'm also applying to Cochran's ADN program and am taking the Kaplan in May. When will WCC let us know if we get in?? The wait is killing me! í ½í¸«

How are people notified of rejections? Via email or mail?

Does anyone know when they start notifying us or when the first "wave" will start? Like early April or mid April? I'm so anxious. My life is consumed by this...attending NYU is ALL I think about!

@Paige100, NYU will send you an email with your Net ID where and a link where you can access ALBERT. Mine was sent to me about a week after I submitted my application.

@charming_kitty, I just checked ALBERT and don't see that my university transcripts have been reviewed either. Anxiously awaiting a response.

@sborn, per the nursing info session per semester is $21,873. The NYU Bursar website shows a few additional fees, so I'm thinking roughly $22k per semester. Not included in the semester fees are uniforms, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, books, pen light, and name tag.

@Alypol I called Admissions and they were able to confirm receipt of my LORs. The person I spoke with also said LORs can be emailed. Regarding what to stray away from in your personal statement, I'm not sure! I did my best to express my truth as to why nursing and why NYU. As long as you're heartfelt and honest, you can't go wrong IMHO.

I'm honestly not sure either. I already did my taxes and completed my FAFSA but did so without including parental information. Hoping this is the right way to go.

They said anywhere between April and June....quite a large span of time! I'm anxious as well!

I went to the info session today. The letters of rec for the ABSN are optional, but you may submit 1 or 2.

Hi everyone! New to the site and the forum. Last week, I wrapped up my application. When I called last week, I received confirmation my transcripts had been received and this status is also showing on ALBERT; however, I don't show receipt of my LORs. I'm going to follow up with them regarding the LORs next week. Is anyone going to the Info Session next Tuesday?
