Humber College Second Entry (2015)
Thank you for the information!! 1. Which hospital did you do your pregrad where they were laying people off? 2. What are your best tips for the prep semester? I have to take 4/5 (no psych) courses and it's a little intimidating from what I've heard.

Humber College Second Entry (2015)
I know, it's a little pricey in my opinion. Even at UofT it was only around $300.

Humber College Second Entry (2015)
It's $1870.41 + the mandatory health insurance which is $575 = $2445.41 for the prep semester. Remaining balance is due September 21, 2015.

Humber College Second Entry (2015)
Can you guys let me know your GPA for last 10 credits. I`ve been on the wait list since beginning of March. I was told in mid April that my chances still looked good as I have a 3.3 for my last 10 credits.

Have you tried calling to ask where you stand on the waitlist yet? I'll be doing that soon, hopefully they can give me an idea

Has anyone else gotten Waitlisted for Humber Second Entry? The uncertainty is the worst!

I was told to call mid April to get a more accurate estimate of where we stand.

I got waitlisted for the 2nd entry program at Humber. GPA for last 10 credits is 3.32 (78%) on a UofT 4.0 scale if I calculated correctly. Good luck to everyone! So far 3.5 GPAs have been getting acceptances to the program.

Last 10 credits was 3.32 if I calculated correctly. I was told to call back in April to find out where I stand on the list but that my chances were good. You never know though! Congrats to everyone getting in :)

If I calculated corrected it was 3.32 and I saw it on my Humbers website. I heard that this year the acceptance GPA was raised to 3.5 based on the GPAs of everyone who applied. I've talked to Claire before, she is very helpful. I will give her a call tomorrow.

Just heard back from Humber - Waitlisted. Definitely not what I wanted to hear! Anyone know if Humber releases your spot on the waitlist?

I've seen some people on these forums already get into Humber. They're GPAs were around 3.5/3.7. Still waiting though! No news is good news I guess. My application still says No Decision

butter 413 This happened to be last year. Humber told me that they would wait until my second semester was over and then recalculate my marks. However when the time came they said the spots were already full and whoever told me that shouldn't have said they would wait. Not sure if it's different this year but that's my experience from last year. So generally speaking count back from your first semester until you reach 10 credits (but if 1 course falls in a new semester the entire semester is looked at even if it's over 10 credits)

Congrats to everyone who got in! I'm nervously waiting for Humber. I didn't get in last year and ended up going back to upgrade my GPA. Hopefully this year is the year! Good luck to everyone

Does anyone know what "No Decision" means for Humber? It used to say something different - don't remember what it was however. Now it's just "No Decision"

em89 - Yes 60 credit hours corresponds to 10 full credits. However, if one of those courses falls into a new semester, the entire semester gets calculated in your GPA. For example, if 9.5 of your credits are from year 4 and 3, and the last 0.5 credit falls into a new semester, the entire semester gets calculated, not just your highest or your lowest out of that semester. This means that it could be more than 10 credits that get calculated. That is how it was explained to me last year by the admissions representative for the program. Hopefully that makes sense!

ALSO this is an edit to my previous post regarding the Humber acceptance GPA for this year. Applicants above a 3.0 still have the chance of getting in! Just wanted to clarify that 3.5 is not the strict cut off in case anyone is confused.

Can anyone let me know what a 3.5 GPA is in terms of percentage on a 4.0 scale? Our UofT GPA goes form 3.3 (77-79) -3.7 (80-84) and I cannot seem to find anywhere what a 3.5 would be.

Jessly I'm not 100% sure that they sent out the first offers tho! That's just when I gathered from what she said since they know who's on the waitlist already, they may not have gotten to the individual confirmations just yet. Good luck!

Jessly I didn't ask but they said the first group should have received something by now. They have until May 1st to accept or reject. Then the second batch gets offers based on how many people rejected the offers. What was your GPA for your last 60 hours if you don't mind me asking?
