Will you be coming to ASU summer 2018?

Will you be coming to the summer 2018 semester at Albany State University?

I thought the RN-BSN bridge has the same NCLEX-RN exam, so why would you need to take it again after obtaining BSN?

That's strange I'm doing the professional route and will have to retake both fundamentals and pharmacology. I originally got accepted to both but with the traditional route they allowed to test out of the class. If you don't test out at least you get the chance to refresh your knowledge.

Hello Kennesaw1, Sorry for late reply. Yes, I had been getting run arounds with financial aid. Everything should be worked out now though. Hope everything is worked out on your end now? Are you located in Kennesaw?

Hello Nurses, Is anyone in the Atlanta area going to Albany State University (formerly Darton) going to the bridge program this summer 2018?

Thank you all so very much for you input. I feel like i'm not alone trying to figure all this out.

I ended up calling to the BON again and spoke to a representative that says she can not give me legal advice but she showed my in the practice acts where it states that LPN can only participate in assessment and where it says RN do assessments. I sent that to the owner of the company, RN, house manager and told them I am not going to do the initial assessment because its against the law and my scope of practice. I was asked if I would come in and just not do the assessment wth?? I've been so stressed about this my body is shaking on and off, headaches and loss of appetite. I could loose my job for telling them no but I will not break the law for anyone nor practice outside of scope and potentially loose my license. I'm upset that I would even be asked such a thing. Its a very stressful situation.

I really wish this were the case here. I emailed them and got the response that I told you. Not sure why my question couldn't just get answered. Evidently, I don't see it in their which is why I asked. I've called my previous instructor fr the program and waiting for her to call me back. The message before last looks like we are authorized to do assessment but it does not specify initial assessment

The board of nursing basically said to look in scope of practice and figure it out. So nothing to incorporate into policy and procedures. I was hoping for that smh What do you mean by countersign. I work at a group home with a real basic documentation system called therapservices the company basically made what we are to document. I was asked to do a head-to-toe assessment but it'll be the first one ever done. I'm not sure if it makes it a initial assessment or not. So stressed I just want to know what my scope is and practice it
