  1. That's great, Bill!
  2. I am so sorry, Bill. I hope there is favour for your appeal. You have been a tremendous inspiration and help to many on this journey. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
  3. You can do it!!!!
  4. Good luck!!!
  5. Congratulations on your success! I read on another post that it best to take transitions before health safety. Do you feel you had a better advantage on passing the test because you took transitions before health safety?
  6. That's is awesome. When do you start your nursing theory? What's your honest opinion on the school/program?
  7. How about you, do you take exams or courses?
  8. I'll be taking exams.
  9. Anyone in the surrounding Killeen, Texas area enrolling or has recently completed Excelsior's A.S./A.A.S. program? I'm seeking a study buddy for when I enroll into the program next month and anyone who has knowledge of any great study materials that would be very helpful. I've already taken the all science requirements at other schools. I'm willing to help in anyway I can. Being able to talk out concepts is essential to my learning style and retaining information in my long term memory. Thank' you so much for commenting in advance.
  10. Texting has destroyed my writing abilities as the calculator did my math skills. Thank you so much.
  11. Thank -you and you're welcome. Information literacy and written english requirement. From what I can remember, the representative I spoke with said everyone has to take it. When I was in college I was undecided between nursing and social worker. I went through all my transcripts with an advisor there over the phone and she told me if everything checked out that's all I should have to do. However, I won't know for sure until they get all my transcripts. I just finished taking Micro. and A&P over (due to 5 year mark) last week at a community college. My head hurts so bad. Im taking a break from school until January. It's needed. I studied so hard I often asked myself if I was about to throw a clot my head hurt so bad. Too much information. I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to take them both at the same time. From now until I enroll, I'm praying and trying to get as much information as I can about the program. I would like to utilize my time and money wisely by learning all I can prior. I'm going to see about some of those study sites you mentioned as well. Anything else you think of that may be helpful please feel free to share. I appreciate it.
  12. Did you work a full- time job throughout the duration of completely your classes in those 8 weeks? I plan to go the CLEP exam route. I'm very determined to get this done, however, I want to be realistic about what I can accomplish while working. No kids, soon to be full-time LPN (I went part-time due to low census), my husband is deployed, and I would love to be completely done with everything within a year. I may have two pre-reqs to take along with nursing theory, fcca, and the cpne. Hopefully, you could tell me if that's doable. Congratulations, in advance on passing your CPNE.
  13. @SVT511 Congratulations! I live in Texas and I plan to enroll in Excelsior next month. I would love any advice/encourage you could give me. Please email me at the following email address. It would really be very much appreciated. A graduate's perspective on how they made it through the program would be a huge boost of optimism towards this endeavor. [email protected]
  14. I'll be looking to start the program soon too. I've taken all of the science classes already though. I'm sure you'll do great! We can encourage each other along the way!
