I finally took this exam and I scored a 78 first try. I am just going to put a review since there is not a whole lot of information pertaining to this exam. By all means these are my opinions. # 1. Math I scored a whooping 96 on this section. I got one question wrong. I am not sure which question I got wrong for i was so sure that I had passed all of them. The book I used to prepare me for this section was the Kaplan Nurse Dosage Calculation book. I found this book at my local library. This is the only book I used for this section. I also looked at a lot of problems on quizlet that were similar to what was in this book. No Algebra, Geometry or stuff like that on the exam. #2. Reading I scored a 71 in this section. Please Note that English is a 2nd Language to me and when I learnt English I did British English which is a whole different ball game to American English in terms of grammar and spellings. I was really nervous about this section. The book I used for this section is the Kaplan Nursing Admissions Book. This book did really well in the TIPS it offered on how to answer this section. I practiced all the reading questions in that book and read over and over the Tips and i think the TIPS are great. That is all I used this book for #3 Writing I scored a 73 in this section. Not Bad for a non English speaker. I did a lot of online grammar questions. I used Khan Academy SAT questions and it helped. Somehow during my search for free writing questions I came across a website that gives free writing questions to those who are applying for government jobs in NJ . I cannot remember the name of the site. But that site helped me a lot in terms of where to place sentences and words. If i find the site I will come back and post it. #4 Science I scored a 65 in this section. Ladies and Gentleman I have a BS in Biological Sciences and I think I am pretty good in Biology and Human Physiology. But this section just through me off completely. I have no advise for this section. Know blood pathway through the heart. That is probably the only thing that was straight forward everything else I do not know where they get their questions. The questions are not school book material but are more for people with clinical experience ( my opinion). The book I used was Cliff notes. The only reason why i am giving my background to each section is so that you can measure up as you decide how to study. Anyway I got accepted for Spring 2016. Good luck to all of you.
