TIP: If you are afraid to hit the "submit" button, use a valid credit card with insufficient funds. This way if it tries to charge your card, it won't go through, but it'll let you know you have insufficient funds or there is some type of problem charging your card. And if it actually tries to charge your card, it usually means you've not passed.

I agree with most of the replies. Make sure it's styled and neat! You'll be fine. I have cornrows and I've seen many male nurses with longer hair or facial hair.

Greetings from PA! I've decided to share my story on the NCLEX-RN and the PVT. I took my exam on Oct. 20 and was done at about 85 questions. I felt every other question was a SATA. After the test, I wasn't sure if I passed or failed. So I searched the internet to learn how to do the Pearson Vue Trick, only to find out that the trick didn't work anymore...or did it? Before trying the trick, I read tons and tons of forums! I found out that everyone(no matter pass or fail) is now being taken to the CC screen. You actually have to put in your credit card information, click next and then click "SUBMIT" to finalize payment. If your payment doesn't go through and you get the message "Our record indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." it's presumed that you passed. However, if the transaction goes through and your card is charged, it's presumed that you failed. Well...I tried it and got the good pop-up, everyone calls it. The message that reads: "Our record indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I was relieved to get that message, however, I knew it wasn't 100%, it just meant more than likely I passed. I came to that conclusion because while searching trying to get data and info on the trick, there were people stating they put in their cc information and they didn't get the "good" pop-up, yet they still passed. Well they did it wrong, they didn't click "submit" when it was time to finalize payment. You risk losing $200 if it goes through. I did find someone on the forums who passed, did the trick right and did not receive the good pop-up. However, they used a card with insufficient funds, as I did. So they received an insufficient funds message and no good pop-up, yet they still passed. I found that most people who were charged $200 or received the message "insufficient funds," never came back to the forum to update everyone of their status(pass or fail). The person mentioned above is the only person I found. This is when I came to the conclusion, they must've have failed. It seems the only people who update, are the ones that pass and I only found one false fail. After 48 hrs, before paying Pearson Vue for quick results, I checked the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing(PA BON) for my name and boom, there it was. I was so happy! Thereafter, I still paid for quick results because I thought it was going to tell me more than just "passed." CONCLUSION: Read the forums, don't skim! I believe the Pearson Vue Trick is somewhat accurate, but not a guarantee. If you are going to try it, use a valid card with insufficient funds.

Unfortunately, you have to hit "SUBMIT" to finalize payment in order to receive the good pop-up if you pass. I did it. You risk losing $200 though.
