Failed 7th time NCLEX RN. Am I a really a failure?
I saw on the IBN somebody who was facing the board for failing it for 15 times. They graduated in 06. I think you will protect your license like a treasure once you get it due to the struggles you have been through to get it. All the best!

Family member hurt my somewhat fragile new grad confidence
Sometimes giving your all is not good enough. Just work with a clear conscience and everything will be alright.

ST_elevation In MI
Will paste this from an article I just read. Hope it helps. "The ST segment corresponds to a period of ventricle systolic depolarization, when the cardiac muscle is contracted. Subsequent relaxation occurs during the diastolic repolarization phase. The normal course of ST segment reflects a certain sequence of muscular layers undergoing repolarization and certain timing of this activity. When the cardiac muscle is damaged or undergoes a pathological process (e.g. inflammation), its contractile and electrical properties change. Usually, this leads to early repolarization, or premature ending of the systole."

Does pharmacy technician experience count for nursing?
I bet you will ace pharmacology, the one course that keeps people from attaining that nursing dream...otherwise thats about it. I only see the pharmacy tech for like 5 mins in a 12 hr shift. They tube stuff to us from the pharmacy.

Are American hospitals ready for Ebola?
The disease came n went, the paranoid people were left feeling stupid, Africans including myself were stereotyped. I made more enemies at work due to ignorance than anything else. The thing is, reading books should not stop in nursing school. Educate yourselves people. The last thing you want to do as a medic is make people believe that the zombie apocalypse is coming up therefore they should lock themselves in bunkers.

Are American hospitals ready for Ebola?
I see people balancing on ledges here. This is like saying the usa should be banned from travelling to other countries for they will transmit the war. Its not his fault that he didn't know what he had. And believe you me, the USA is better equipped than any other place in the world. Would you quit if a patient came to your unit with ebola? Aids was treated like this when jt first came out. Funny people would rather wear a hazmat suit for one case/300+ milion people than wear a condom.
