Nice. I've been using quizlet already :) I'll just keep at it. Thought it was intense that we were having a graded test during orientation! Guess I should get used to "intense"! Have a great rest of your break!

BertG77 ..... What can you tell us about the Medical Terminology test they're suppose to give us at orientation? Is it graded or is it just to see what we know and don't know. Is it just general terms... Or will some of the crazys be on there? Got nervous and bought the book they recommended even though I already had a book.... Think I may have jumped the gun.

CXR was negative as usual and Im currently trying to track down the doctor that was caring for me during the INH. That was almost ten years ago and in a different town, so its been a challenge. Thank you roser13. Is there a particular reason why one should never take a tb test again after receiving a positive? I've been told that before and was never told why.

Hello all. I worked in healthcare for 8 years before going back to school to achieve my dream of becoming a nurse. One of my patients at some point during my career must've had active tb because I received my first positive pod test in 2005 (negative chest X-ray). I took the INH pills and went about my merry way. Now entering nursing school, I took my third ppd test and again it's showing positive (just barely each time I might add). What I'm wondering is.... Can I get turned away from nursing school or more importantly, will having inactive tb effect my chances at finding work after graduation?

Oh ok. Good to know. I know our 2000 has a lecture and lab.... But the 2820 only says lab... Then it gave no real time... Was a bit confusing. Lol can't wait!

That sounds AWESOME!!!! Now I cant wait even MORE! Ugh!! lol The only reason I asked that was because on the schedule it says that Nurs 2820 is held Mondays at 12am. Good to know its an actual class. Im super excited. Thanks again for the info... Now off to get my physical done!

Princesama, I kinda have. I made my profile and did my drug test and my background paid for and completed. Need to get vaccination stuff done and uploaded still. Just ordered the medical terminology book they suggested this morning. Started reading the one I have and realized it sucks lol. I can't WAIT to start!! bertG77, thank you so much for offering your help. Only question I have so far is what's the deal with 2820? Is it an actual class? Got the impression that it's only used for the medical terminology test. If you don't mind... Can you give us some insight as to what to expect? Thanks again for the advice :)

Nevermind on making a FB page.... Just re-read the nursing book camp page and they go over making a class page there. Anyone going to that? I know I'll be there.

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a great holiday season. How are you guys doing with the Profile To-Do lists? I tried making a FB page, but I'm new to FB and I hate no clue how to do it. Anyone want to make one that has more experience? Now that the anxious wait for acceptance is over.... Now I'm anxiously waiting to start!!

That's nice of them. CSU bakersfield didn't allow for any retakes. The suspense is making this month go by SO SLOW!! Usually it zips by, but ugh it's only the 10th!

@ princesama, I saw that on the Orientation schedule. Says "-CPR (will be offering it in fundamentals, AHA BLS). Was just thinking of getting it over with and maybe meeting a few of my future classmates. But, $10 is way cheaper than it would be somewhere else ;-)
