  1. We're being separated ! Half the cohort is section 1 for 11A & half is section 2 for 11A! Find out which section you are in and that determines when you will go to labs/clinicals We all have the same lectures! & we have a lab on the very first day so we have to come in our blue scrubs.
  2. You need to find out what section you are in and that's your schedule. There's two sections, section 1 goes 4 days a week and section 2 goes 3 days a week.
  3. Are you starting in fall or spring
  4. I thought it was really helpful! They asked us to sign up and complete a training for the VA
  5. yes I did !
  6. No I don't. Just 4 ADN classes .
  7. Our classes are up !
  8. I thought so too. I'm hoping before August! I know priority registration for the school was these past 2 weeks. I don't even see a registration date on my account
  9. Anyone know when we are suppose to be registered for our courses ??
  10. Yes it is !
  11. No I actually haven't gotten around the Titers but I'm planning on getting them done within the next 3 weeks!
  12. Background check & Teas are what's needed to be completed by May 29th ! Also I have the information for the June 9th meeting but does anyone else have it? What I have is June 9th from 10am-12pm in T-1200
  13. At the informational they said csulb SON is one of the schools that does NOT give extra points/preference to veterans. It's fair game based on points.
  14. You might not want to hear this and I didn't either when I was first told this but you could try going to a city/community college and getting your ADN then doing a bridge program to a university for your BSN. It takes about 3.5 years total and is much less competitive!
  15. In the end what matters most is how hard someone works for what they want and that they carry out their task efficiently and with care regardless of the reasoning behind it.
  16. No I don't , I live in Long Beach. My internship experience does involve participating in a program that provides medical services/screenings and I do work with those patients however it's only during events. I think what worries me the most is my low science GPA. I read last years thread and it seems that people with similar experiences, background, & grades got a call back for the interview but we're not accepted into the program in the end.
  17. Thanks for starting the thread ! I still don't know if I'm applying. This program/school is ideal but I don't know if I'm a competitive applicant. I have a BS in community health and an undergrad GPA of 3.8. However, my science GPA is 3.28. I don't have hospital experience but I have interned for nonprofits and was involved on campus. I don't know where that leaves me.
  18. Does anyone know what the average admission stats are?
  19. Yes I would love to know everyone's stats who got in (:
  20. Does anyone know if CSUF will take a general chemistry instead of the integrated one?
  21. Well November 15th for those who get called for the communication exercise, but I'm not sure about those who do not make it that far
  22. @jocelinnh When did you turn in your application?
  23. Did anyone get an email from ------------------ saying she received your application ? Or did she give you something when you turned it in? I handed my application to another staff member and she said she would give it to ----------------------- because she had to leave early, now I'm worried because I did not get confirmation.
  24. Anyone here a second degree seeker? (Post bacc)
  25. I don't know where exactly you work or live but I do know that many hospitals in Southern California are turning into magnet hospitals and are looking for BSN vs ADNs . My cousin was working as an ADN for over 10 years full time at one hospital and part time at another, both hospitals kept encouraging her to pursue obtain her BSN. She did an online program and shortly after she graduated she received raises at both jobs and a promotion at another.
