Yes what previous posted said about dimensional analysis- that is how we were taught and it makes it so much easier! Knowing you are setting up equation to be able to cross out units helps with worrying about getting ratios wrong. If any of her links help you understand it- I would recommend looking and teaching yourself that way it truly helps any confusion on ratios.

I am in my 40s and starting an ADN program in a few weeks- I have wanted to pursue nursing for about 17 years but money, life, kids, etc all seemed to make me think it wasn't possible. I am scared to death but also very excited! Completing pre-reqs with 2 small children and a full time job did nothing but confirm this is what is right for me now..... :)

Sure you don't want to hear this but maybe it will help you with the rest of the semester- the study guide is just that- a "guide" it is not a guarantee and it does not mean your professor sucks when you choose to learn only one of the two things on the study guide (carb vs. amino). Either don't use the study guide or take the time to learn both when things are like that in order to be prepared. My API class- I used the professor study guide for the first test and got an 80%- after that I never even looked at the study guide just did the questions at the end of the chapter and the quizzes that came with the on line code for the book and pulled out a mid range A for the class. Study guides don't work for everyone- I know they don't for me.

In the past they have gotten letters by this upcoming Friday or Saturday but them saying in the application package "mailed by June 23rd" has me scared we will have another week to wait.... or we can hope they said that to try and keep everyone from bothering them asking when letters will go out- :)

On the transcript- the last line before any classes taken at Polk it says- "Awards" and then lists degree and date it was received. (At least that is where it shows on mine)

You could volunteer for any numerous different causes. It would fill time and help you feel like you are making a contribution or difference.

Going back for career change. First BS is in Biology. 2 young kiddos. I am 45- never too old :)

I got my official notice- no interview. Oh well..... On to other options :)

The March interview you see on the website is for summer. Fall application opens in April and Fall interviews aren't listed yet. Good luck when you apply :)
